I wonder why korean period dramas never has a traditional marriage work out. Different from chinese dramas like New Life Begins, Story of Minglan, korean period dramas never has a arranged marriage that works in the end. The FL does not act right, does not act on character, she is basically officially married, she spent half the drama saying she was in love with her fiancé, only to dump him in the end. She is fickle and frivolous and this plot is ridiculous. The Crown Prince stole the wife of his best friend, which by the time was also a tabu a royal steal the wife of an official, he is imoral. The ML is described in the novel to look sickly thin, pale, the FL even describes that he feels so thin in their hug. So, maybe the production made him look like that.
