I'm still watching IS because I really like the story and the actors, but the mortal world arc is really one of the worst mortal world arcs of all Xianxias, it is like another story, the leads barely have any screen time, side characters took over and it is not like they are charismatic or pretty, they are bland and boring. But the first episode of the second season have the story back on track and some side characters lost their screen time, it seems it will get better, but that mortal world arc was just terrible...more than 10 episodes dragging, they literally forgot the main plot for one entire arc...

I watched the whole thing in three days, favorite character is the King, good story, the last 10 episodes are very sad and a bit out of tone compared to the rest of the drama. First part is very entertaining and my favorite.

Not even the same genre lets not compare. Xianxia is the genre with more haters in cdramaland. Rating between 8.2-8.7 for Xianxias is pretty much the standard in MDL. More than that is rare case...

Do you know if being verified has anything to do with rating? Because I always see the rating changing after I gave a rate after I verified my account...

She likes what YM did because she never had feelings for him. She is hurt by YY because it felt like betrayal. You don’t mind someone you don’t like, but you will definitely be upset if someone you love lie to you.

Finally we are back on track. I must confess I like Tang Zhou being rejected, YY must know how it feels, how YD felt when he did it to her, time for payback!

I saw the trailers, and comparing to the scenes in the ending ost, it does not looks like we are getting a happy ending, I looks like open ending or even "dream" ending...

I just remembered, don't know if anyone recommended it to you, but Good By My Princess as also a ML that is a anti hero and the ML and FL are from enemies kingdoms, so you might like it.

Awn, that is heart warming, must be really dreamy for a writer to watch her baby in live action.

She actually likes Esther and not only from this drama, but for her recognize Dylan from her past rants over him is really something...But I had a feeling she would like this drama, it has lots of things that she likes, I was not sure if she would be ok with the tropes , since she really hates xianxia. Good for her to finally find one she really likes, this drama is really entertaining.

I hope she is enjoying his portrayal as much as we do

Wei Wu Xian definitely got the vibes from DFQC specially in his first life, but it was heavily toned down in the live action, I think. To think about it, Xiao Zhan would be an awesome DFQC too because dark colors also suits him.
