The thing is- this show needs 20 episodes π The critique of pacing is only because of uncertainty of how they…
Even tho I thought today's episode would be real crazy because they gonna reveal about his past it wasn't expect the last scene things were pretty calm tho a lot of things happened. I know that writer won't disappoint us with ending π
I might be in minority but here me out: The pace of the drama I don't find it much problematic tbh. The writer kept giving minor hints about Du Shik's in past episodes. In all of those first 1-10 episodes Du Shik was convincing himself that Hye Jin & he are just friends, like he has always been building a wall between everyone in Gongjin. But now that he started finally dating Hye Jin, the question that "Does he deserve to be happy" was always on his mind.
He wanted to ignore his past rather than facing it for once and all. *We have to keep in mind that whenever Du Shik's past memories were shown it just made him remember that how much pain loving people gave him* but the thing he kept avoiding them was because his motto was to never get emotionally attach to living beings ever again but once Hye Jin entered his life things changed.
And NOW that finally he was ready to open up to Hye Jin they started unfolding his story. The writer completely DIDN'T gave us everything in this episode ( about his past) they are still a lot of things left.
Had they showed us Du Shik's past already what would have happen? Because he wasn't even ready to face it back then but now he knows that he got Hye Jin's back so he wanted to open up.
I was so disappointed when the writer was justifying how Yeong Guk is still a good husband to Hwa Jeong, yess he may have come every day to meet Hwa Jeong's mother but sorry he never loved Hwa Jeong how does all of his related to his relationship with Hwa Jeong????
Bruh literally said he married her out of pity? The show has portrayed Hwa Jeong insecurities so many times, and her husband also contributed to them. WHY THE FUCK THEY HAVE TO END UP TOGETHER π
I hope they provide a good reason as to why everyone related to Chief Hong's past suddenly started showing up…
The lady knows that it's Du Shik hometown and for assistant I can say that he was a worker for Ji PD and he admired Du Shik until he knew about Who is actually is.
Hong Du Shik's bright character made this drama happy I guess because now that his past is coming in light the story is going in dark π and even the side stories were sooo deep compared to previous ones.
This show has some pacing issues. How was this episode 14?? This should have been episode 12 or at max 13. How…
Yep I agree, his past just came in like truck of doom. I don't even understand HOW to react.
And the fact it has only 2 episodes scares me that they might rush things.
But I also think it wasn't out of no where, it would have come one day. They were slowly giving the character a bit of time so that he's mentally prepared but that SUDDEN twist is not something a lot of us expected.
I already guessed that there must be some story about her as well and I'm actually not surprised, her actions…
Yess she likes Hwa Jeong but her mom called her love for her "illness " and after that her mom i guess even died. So maybe that's why she never got a chance.
I also have a feeling she won't. She's usually quick to reflect on her words and behaviour which is an admirable…
Yup, Hye Jin's personality doesn't seem like a person who would break up with someone because of his trauma. And I think she might give him some space.
