When ppl say it's traumatising - trust them.Execution was superb, but it's a freaking heavy story. Had I known…
WHY Hsiao-Tung went with those bastards to delete the photos, when Jen-Yao told her it actually can be in his favour, that is the proof that piece of shit had drugged him? How on earth the only sensible adults are Hsiao-Tungs parents? All of the others were just repulsive. It's like the whole town is a cesspit
When ppl say it's traumatising - trust them. Execution was superb, but it's a freaking heavy story. Had I known I might've skipped this drama. I'd to speed up to 1.5x in later eps to protect myself. Nerve-wracking. Actually this amount of horrendous occurrences seems very unlikely. Was it the drama makers goal to destroy the viewers? At times they overdid - that'll be in the spoiler down there.
I've no idea how to rate it, so I'm leaving it blank and go for the part 2. Because yeah, when you start it, it'll be impossible to drop.
Def traumatizing. Not only the kids were monsters there. The amount of horrible things happening to one person is ridiculous. Touching to the raw meat and exruciating drama, makes you thing, yeah so he was not "a serial killer" he was a society's saviour (for get rid of trash).
I KNEW I should've waited for it to be aired๐ญ The 4th ep?!?!?
The "drama" tag should be added, btw. Bloody piano? LOL Overdramatic mother's behaviour too. Still, I love music dramas with a lot of beautiful music๐ค๐ค
My only regret here is the plot being a kind of all-world's-plague-will-happen. Although I struggle to call it "unrealistic". All the bad things could actually take place, but I wish not all of them did.
The drama shows a clever story what a true soul mate is. I might've expected smth a little different, but it's because of misleading "a gay male lead" tag. I don't think any of them were "gay". The best thing is none one them should've been. 9/10
How come you were that generous with your rating then? I'll give it maybe 3. Still 2 eps left for me. I spoiled myself for my own good XD Hower I've to disagree on this one: "a rich guy throwing a tantrum because a woman walked out of his bedroom " I didn't see that was his motive. He was flustered, confused why she left without a note or anything, only saw her running frantically and we can stick to what he had said that he was worried. On top of that we know he felt that ridiculous agitation after their kiss (that's another story actually). I haven't noticed any "a female dared to leave my bed not giving me..." vibe, which would've thrown me out of window.
this was the reality of that time period, so realistic i don't know what you're confused about here
I know that. Yet if we want to bring reality up her so such couples wouldn't be THAT awkward too. As well as so self-conscious and minding every little thing. More like "do what has to be done" and each party focusing on their chores.
I'm not "confused" ab anything here. I merely said it was unpleasant to watch for me.
I think it's for the younger viewers - note: nothing wrong with that. Prettified to the maximum. Like: perfect make-ups, intricate hairstyles with accessories and ribbons and new sets of beautiful clothes while ungenerous traveling for months. Really? Personally those eye make-ups creating the illusion of eyes-taking-half-of-the-face are disturbing. But that's one thing. The second is kinda flat script. I'm not a fan of transmigration in a book trope. At first the system was very present, but later almost none, to come back at the end ofc. And what exactly happens whe the heroine changes the story? The book changes too? The core story was rather weak. From one event to another to check the cliches off. I don't know if Ding Yu Xi was said to act like this or if it was his own creation, but him taking up the pose "I'm the badass" with askance look ALL THE TIME (maybe near the end less) was ridiculous. Also that very badass acts like a little puppy at every occasion. Aw, you're super close๐you'll help me?๐ you're not afraid of me?๐๐๐ Looking like a puppy can be both a good thing and a bad thing tho. That's the case here๐
People seem to dislike the ending. However, after forwarding *ascending mount everest* (boring and stupid, and boring) I quite liked it๐ The very very end.
Visually absolutely stunning. No doubt. The effects, the takes, the colours etc.A horror? I wouldn't say so, it…
I didn't get why and how he came back to life. Actually it looked like he ended as akgwi and as one revived(?), re-entered(?) his dead body? Any one know?
Visually absolutely stunning. No doubt. The effects, the takes, the colours etc. A horror? I wouldn't say so, it wasn't scary, not in the least. The plot. Not many threads, but the drama is short, so one can live with that. The problem is constantly going back and forth, who killed whom; I'll save you; no, I'll save you; no, no I will... Esp with the saving it felt way over the top. The ending was a little... ~spoiler~
Surprisingly good. I didn't have much expectations. At the beginning those cliches almost made me drop and I felt bad for Yi Hyeok Su that he had to act like this.
BUT! The drama makers really justified using those cliches and the show had stopped being boring. The actors did a great job. Personally I wish Mi Rae was less expressive. For side characters I'm fond of her hilarious friend and Yun Song writer. A small flaw in my opinion was making Gyeong Nam act too much like those generated boyfriends XD Still it was only a little over the line. Ideally he should've been more different from them. But OK, dramaland. The male lead POV was much appreciated.
I squirmed internally at perfect and immoral marketing of the game. They acquire tons of very sensitive and personal data. They even make messages system and phone calls(!). Imagine how much it would mess one's brain. A superb game crawling into your world. All of the secrets that would be shared in the game when users would think they only talk to the machine - same as with AI chats these days XD On the spot.
To summarise it wasn't too shallow or too deep. Definitely enjoyable. The concept of virtual reality is very timely and actually the show made me think (it's not only based on the drama thoXD) that we don't like the real world so much that we created a virtual one. And only if we could we all would chose to stay there. When it's promoted widely, that will truly the last generation :)
Not really. If we replace the female for male the game wouldn't be about eating fancy dinners, chosing dresses…
And why would she be called "cute" when it's clearly perverted and stalker? Maybe I don't watch shit like this, where it's shown this way. Or maybe you're making up stuff ;) In a "typical drama" it's the male lead who might act pushy or taking advantage of his position/money - I've never seen anyone call that "cute". Probably "hot" could appear if anything XD
You get called a perv, sick and disgusting for a reason.
