I liked Season 1 but yes, their stories are intertwined. There are people out there who just hate Earth and anything…
I think that Season 2 is better, more organized. By having one couple the focus of eight episodes, it makes things more clear to the viewer. The downside is, the friend relationships are not as strong as in Season 1. That's just my opinion. North and Easter are roommates for most of Season 1, so we get to see their relationship with each other and the other people in the art room. You don't have to watch Season 1 to enjoy Season 2. But I've been into BL for a long time, so I will always support Bas, even when he was in terrible stuff that his last agency selected for him. I will always support Earth. The first series I saw him in was Love By Chance, when he first started. He is also an out gay man and doesn't fake a macho persona. So I'm biased. Full disclosure.
Does anyone know who will be playing Tiger's brother? I love that Tiger and his brother are crybabies. It breaks the misandrist stereotype that men must be hard and macho. These are violent killers but still cry for the people they love.
do i need to watch s1 to understand s2? or can s2 be watched as a standalone? I’m skeptical about watching s1…
I liked Season 1 but yes, their stories are intertwined. There are people out there who just hate Earth and anything he is in. The other half hate director New, so there will be double the amount of hate before watching a single minute of the series. Pond is a high caliber actor and is great in his role. Earth has a similar personality to Ter, I've watched Earth's channel but he does not annoy me. At least he is true to himself. My favorite couple is Johan and North, who appear throughout the rest of the stories. They are both ride or die for their friends and I enjoyed watching their story. Tiger and Nao are North's engineering buddies, having nothing to do with the doctors. This is just my opinion and I'm not asking anyone to agree with me.
I do kinda get it because Johan and Arthit were going through torture everday, but they were in their final year,…
They actually had 2 more years to go, and they are the most intense years. It's a 6 year program in Thailand. Even Hill doesn't have to complete since his family owns a business, but he's a brainiac and Fah's family owns a hospital.
I'm going to spoil something about novel Dao that did not make the series cut.
I'm only spoiling this because it seems like the woman who attacked Daotok at the gym did not get consequences. After the arm twisting scene at the gym, Arthit told Meen about the situation. Because Meen considers Daotok her benefactor, off the pages, she beats up the girl. Later, Dao sees a mother cat and her kittens and decides to rescue them. When he follows the mother cat, he sees a group of guys in a fight, and notices that Meen is fighting all the guys. The girl at the gym, her brother and their gang went to beat Meen up.
Dao, worried that the cats will be hurt and seeing that it's Meen joins the fight and they fight off the guys. Then Dao recognizes the leader as his tormentor/attempted rapist in high school and taunts him. Once the leader recognizes Dao he gets terrified and they end the fight. (I will not spoil that part since the whole arc was not included in the series). Dao rescues the cats. Meen adopts the mother cat and the vet helps find the kittens good homes. Direk takes care of the brother and sister duo, but does not kill them.
everyone complaining about jamiemarvis as if we had a chance to really get invested in their story in the first…
I haven't read the novel so I don't know if the characters have been given their due screen time, but I think it's more about having a secret relationship, rather than being out in the open like Duang and Qin. If Jamie and Mars were not playing the secret lovers game, maybe there would be more time for them. My complaint is no back story on Mars. I don't know if he is from Singapore (with all the English), but since he cannot read Thai characters, he's a foreigner. I didn't FF through their scenes, but I may have missed something. And I'm not some kid, I don't ship actors and I'm not some ship fan.
I wanted the mama cat and kittens rescue but I guess when Meen disappeared, that went with her.
And that he's a badass at that. I know that some crybabies would have whined, but I would have loved if they included the whole Guide arc, just to show that Dao is not weak, just because he is mostly quiet.
How is NetJJ, guys? Are they good as NetJames? Net's expression on previous dramas were insane and I donot want…
I had to adjust because Net and James had a strong sexual chemistry. JJ is playing a role of the hapless, bad luck magnet that Tommy often plays and I think that he's doing a good job. But I do not ship actors so I may be in the minority.
I admit my bias for Ngern because I've known of him since Love Sick, but his acting in this series has been so good. He's good at playing hot, cold, and his grief scene was so good that it made me emotional. I thought that episode 12 was well acted all around.
I may start this series after reading some of the feedback. A huge number of angsty and dark shows were released in 2025 and I need lightness in my life too, so it's taking me a while to get through the heavier stuff.
I did not watch 4 Minutes because of the endless cigarette smoking and only watched Shine for Mile and Apo. Even though I thought the acting was excellent, the story and storytelling were mediocre. That's my opinion. BOC didn't do the boomers justice, instead preferring to focus on BOC's C-suite's obvious smoking fetish. Then to have that creep, sexual harasser Victor as second lead was pretty vile. After he was given a clear boundary more than once, he still persisted. You cannot trust a person who will not accept "no." The cringe Beatles break-up party must have been satire.
I've worked with clients like Ice, (though not filmed) who end up on drugs and in prison. They had dysfunctional families and often the women (mom, grandmother) turns a blind eye to abuse, puts a man first or abandons them. They can't be too real or people would be traumatized, so I thought they did a great job. I like the Ja and Tae pairing. I thought that I would struggle with it, but I was fine. I was shocked to find out how young the women are. I thought they were in their mid 30's! I was thinking that Nikita should have been cast as a professor because she looks too old to play a student. It's not a slam against older women, only that they look 10 years older than their stated ages. Maybe the make-up artists are putting too much product on them.
No, nobody here is glorifying anything, but there's no need to moralize either. I’m not glorifying a thing;…
Professional Stand-in was a whole series based on kidnapping, rape, abuse that was sexual, physical and emotional, financial exploitation, but people slobbered all over it. they even wanted a happy ending for the criminal abuser and the victim Joe. I don't like moral superiority and I don't like hypocrisy. I also do not believe in censorship or dictating that the bad guy is always inherently evil. That's what censorship boards used to do with films. I aslo do not believe that being able to tolerate dark stuff is glorification. I've read enough translated Japanese literature to understand this. I can understand the literary genius of Mishima with the understanding some of the twisted stuff he wrote about is fiction, or condone the dumb things that he did on the last day of his life.
