why the plot looks like Jinx Manga...is it only me?? not that explicit but the plot kinda gives Jinx vibes like…
Not to me. No rape, abuse, in Wandee Goodday. Yak is humble nothing like the ml in Jinx (can't remember his name right now). I wish Dan had a Yoryak. I feel that Jinx is more like My Stand-in as far as the relationship dynamic. Plus the other dude is MMA, Yoryak is a boxer.

I really love the Taishin character. People always ask for realism in BL, well we finally have a protagonist who is naive, socially awkward, who is trying to understand feelings that he has never had before. The Taishin character is also not being portrayed in a comedic fashion, like they are usually. What I love about him is that you do not have to "read the air" with Taishin. Japanese social interactions are about reading the air, and with Taishin, you have a character who is straight forward in a culture that is way more comfortable with being indirect and vague. When Taishin is speaking to Takara, he uses n-desu form when they are walking home. He even tries to use Takara's first name, but is rebuffed, which was such a cute scene.

Ever wonder why Taishin is so clueless that it’s almost like he’s living in his own little world?I get it—Taishin’s…
What also makes Taishin refreshing is, you do not have to "read the air" around him. For the most part he will state what he is thinking.

The last episode was not up to the standard of rest of the series. I think much of the problem was the manufactured, lame, study abroad plot line that was not in the novel. The other major change was Yak's mother being deceased. GMMTV's weakness is they always have to insert unnecessary drama, like study abroad, or meddling ex. I understand why the closed the age gap for the cry babies, but other major changes brought the series down a notch.

I loved this show. A nice slice of life without over the top angst. Nobody has to take a once in a lifetime scholarship abroad, no parents pressuring for a breakup and the tsundere characters actually show their partners love. Satang is one of my favorites at GMMTV, so I'm looking forward to seeing more of his work.

This was okay, maybe a new to BL viewer series. I put this off because I could not grasp Ohm without Fluke, and I didn't even finish 7 Days before Valentine's mainly due to disliking the main character. Now I know that it wasn't Atom, but the 7DBV story and direction. Poor Poom, I hope he finds a series where I care about the main couple. I did not want Joe and Ming to end up together in My Stand-In, and I didn't care if Shin and Peach got together in this show. I would like to see Oab and Joe get a special episode.

Watching Episodes 1-3: I wonder why everyone says their relationship is super toxic. this is not as bad as i thought…
Baseball bat + Kidnapping + Unlawful Detention = Toxic contribution to Joe's death.

Both Iwase and Konishi are doing a fantastic job. Since Iwase is conventionally attractive and tall, his role is easier, but Konishi is knocking it out of the park. I'm glad they are also sticking to the source material too. I'm just impressed.

I’m so happy for Mew&Tul confirming their relationship. Now I can’t wait to see this even if it’s not a…
I thought they were just good friends. I saw them in a "what's in my bag" video together, Tul calling himself Tyler. Did they officially confirm it like Neo (said he found love, showed her face in a video), or sly confirmation? I don't use socials. Forgot to add that I only ask because I saw Mew doing a vlog with someone (can't remember who but they were riding on a train) and in the subtitles, they discussed Mew being in a relationship, but the subtitles used "girlfriend" not partner, etc. Thanks.

I think the lead actors are doing well in these roles. The are following the manga pretty well. I really love the subplot regarding Okame, and Konishi's performance. That slice of life touch is rarely shown in romances, how the death of a beloved pet can really be painful. I also really like Iwase's portrayal of Shiga.

I feel 16 again because my heart fluttered a little bit when I saw Almond and Latte holding hands under the table. Since the actor playing Lukpeach is only 14 years old, I had to join her in appreciating the innocence of their blossoming love. I love how the Latte character, is moving at a pace to match Almond. Now Peak needs to tell Thanwa what is holding. him back so they can work on the problem together.

I wouldn't mind if actors ventured into more BL/gay collaborations and fanservice, or if they were paired together…
I have never seen a heterosexual acting couple almost kiss by eating opposite ends of a Pocky stick together or have do a Q&A where they are literally nose to nose with just a piece of paper separating them, presented as a game. That is very different from being flirtatious and batting eyelashes. I don't care about the actor's personal lives, so fans should be okay with them having a girlfriend, or posing in a photo with a different actor outside of their ship.

As long as there are no sexual overtones like sharing a Pocky stick, or putting their faces 1 inch apart, I have no objections to fan service, or ship work to promote a project. The problem is when it happens too often, many fans (if it were only 1 or 2, I wouldn't care) lose their sense of reality and harass actors for having a girlfriend, or taking a photo with someone out outside of the ship.

Started watching this completely by chance and i am SO invested (and devestated I didn't even check the release…
If you don't mind tsundere x overthinker, Utsukushii Kare was very good. They made a lot of changes to the novel, but I really enjoyed the acting and beauty of where they live in Japan. If you haven't watched His - Koisuru Tsumori Nante Nakatta, the series, I recommend that one too.

Much better adaptation than the movie. I feel that Taichi is more like the manga this time around. Taichi is a difficult character to play because the character very expressive, but is not so outlandish that he comes off as over the top. All of the actors are doing a great job.

I want to know about Joe #2 as well. I'm embarrassed to admit that in ep 12 if only Joe and Ming were on the screen, I fast forwarded through those scenes and thought I may have missed what happened to him.

Title My Stand-In
I am still in the last episode but I am happy when it is over because I can't stand Ming any longer. At first…
If I were in grad school, I would do a paper on how some audience members will absolutely not forgive a drunken kiss, or kissing a sleeping person, but will allow redemption for an multi-modal abuser, kidnapper, and person who contributed to the main character's death. The acting was first rate, but I could not stand Ming and puppy Joe. I hope that Up and Poom continue to switch acting partners for every project because they are both great.

Title My Stand-In
Unpopular opinion but, I was disappointed in the final episode. I forgave all of the plot holes such as waking up from a 2 year coma and doing stunts without any PT, forgiving a guy who emotionally verbally, physically abused our protagonist, kidnapping and detaining him, and forgiving Tong. The sugary sweetness was embarrassing to me. I did read some of the source story, and yes it was icky sweet in the end too. What I cannot forgive is the fake shooting stars over Bangkok, where light pollution makes seeing stars impossible.
