Unpopular opinion: I don't like Ray. He drinks and becomes UNBEARABLE! The things he does and says while drinking…
Not unpopular opinion - this week. I understand your frustration. Many people get frustrated by addicts. Maybe some people are more forgiving of Ray because addiction is now widely accepted as a disease by medical communities, and a lot of us know people who are in recovery. Many people in their addiction do not evolve, rather they evolve very slowly, and many experience arrested development. So you may have a 40 year old who still acts like a 15 year old emotionally. Khaotung's acting may elicit some sort of empathy due to his skill.
May I know about some Thailand military question like usually take how long, it that compulsory for Thai people…
Some people do the high school service as stated by another poster, like Drake when he was doing My Tee and Boom when he was doing Make it Right. When a male turns 21, the rest of the men go back to their hometown and participate in a draft lottery. They give the men an option to volunteer, but if they do not meet their quota, they have a lottery. If they pull a red card, they are drafted. I think volunteering gives you less time in the army, but I'm not sure. You will see monks, transgender women, etc. I'm not sure, but they may excuse the transwomen, but you'll have to fact check that. If you go to YouTube and search for Thailand military draft, you will find many videos. It's a very interesting process.
In my opinion, respectfully, I disagree. If Mew really will hurt anyone 10fold, why did he stop and did not go…
I think that Mew has already hurt them. Since we don't know what's on the drive, he could have possibly played a sex tape for Ton's father. Maybe he was bluffing, but even shady Ton did not involve family. Top is a mess. In the original trailer, it shows Top downing a handful of pills. Everyone hates Ton, and Ton now does not even have Nick to console him, Ton's fault though. Mew manipulated Nick and used Gap to get the video, albeit in a far fetched scenario. Now he is rebounding with Ray, a man he even threatened to cut off a friendship with if he kept pressing the dating issue. I know that Top and Ton brought it on themselves. I think Ray is relatable because I know so many adult children of alcoholics/addicts/mental illness who are co-dependent like him, but I empathize with Mew, so I don't want to see him lose his soul over dumb jerks like Top and Ton. I actually don't care if Ray sleeps with both Sand and Mew, or if Mew sleeps with Ray and Top. I'm not into cheating, even in fiction, but there is not one pure character in this series.
To be honest, I don't feel bad for Ray in this situation. Ray knows that Mew is using him to get over Top. He…
Ray is codependent, like many adult children of alcoholics. I agree that Ray knows he is a rebound, but he is still being used. I hope that Ray finds that unacceptable before Sand moves on.
Has Ray ever had any real consequences for his actions at all in the entire series as of yet?Like real consequences.…
Ray is mostly alone, and now Mew is going to use him. Ray is an adult child of an alcoholic and most of my friends in that situation, are at least a little messed up with it comes to inter-personal relationships. Ray's codependent relationship with Mew, a man who just told him that he isn't the right one for him, keeps showing Ray as his own enemy. To me, Ray's life has already crashed and burned with the death of his alcoholic mother. Everything else is just chump changed compared to that.
The Mew type person is scary because once you hurt them, they will hurt you back 10 fold. I only hope that he realizes that he needs to not get addicted to the feelings that revenge brings. It is unacceptable to use others (Ray) just as Mew was used by Ton.
I didn't even get what was their hidden agenda and I completed the whole series like this 😂8/10 from me
These are some hidden agendas. Joke liking Zo, how Zo feels like he must the top at everything to please his mother including winning the study abroad award, instead of just focusing on the love of speech and debate. Joke has always been raised to feel that he is a failure, so he does things like join the debate to make his father proud. Pok and Jeng being on the low,. We don't know Nita's hidden agenda, maybe it was to study abroad.
I loved this coming of age story. I loved how neither family were bothered about the closeness of Zo and Joke's relationship, which shows a nice change for an Asian family. Also the message of your Asian parents loving you despite how you see your own accomplishments, is a very powerful message for those of us who come from Asian families. We "know" this, but are rarely "told" this. Not all powerful messages need to be wrapped in melodrama.
9.5/10 from me - and I will get hate for it but really, fuck it. My short explanation in the reply (because spoilers).
In case you get hate, I really liked this series too. It shows the struggles that some people go through on their journey to full fledged adulthood. MDL is emo, always calling the waaaahbulance, but says jack $h!t about the fact that neither family is bothered by Zo and Joke's relationship.
In the synopsis it states that, "A twist of fate erases Fan Ze Rui's memory" and "Bai Zong Yi, who now struggles with memory loss due to a head injury," so I figured we are getting double amnesia which for a unusual for an overplayed trope. Usually only one partner loses their memory.
Oxin Films, you took a unicorn, a stable, mature, young couple, who previously only had little spats, and turned them into a stereotypical drama duo. First it was Zeke not wanting to talk about the old friend (forgot his name), then Fifth for some unexplained reason, has a total personality change and decides to mediate between his boyfriend who still has PTSD, and his betrayer. I think what they are doing to Oliver is pretty dirty. We are only on episode 3, so that means 9 episodes of angst, and I hate angst. I would rather have a Chuk chuk is missing episode.
The good part is, Oxin's episodes are very organized, so it's easy for me to fast forward to skip serial dater/harem holder Kim, the loud Jelai, and the typical whiny female Iris, who likes someone who is so mean to her. I know there will be a redemption arc, but GL (vice lesbian) dramas are not my thing because they look like they are cast to attract male viewers, and two stereotypic immature women is too much for me to bear. I think that I'm cranky today.
Episode 1 confused me because I usually hate flashback series. I was patient, and I just love this series. All of the characters have insecurities, even the boss and his boyfriend. I'm not looking forward to the second half of this series with the prison stuff, because I can't help but think of the sister and father being sad, and that Bai Zong Yi will be unable to be a doctor. Also the double amnesia. I will brace myself and get through it, and hope for a happy ending.
The rating is a crime against this awesome show! I binged all 5 episodes and I'm obsessed! Sure ep 1 is stupid…
Episode 1 was annoying and strange, but so was episode 1 of Love Sick, which is now a classic BL. In fact, episode 1 of Love Sick was terrible. With this series, I like the acting, which is so good that I did not recognize Offroad. I just came here to confirm that the older brother was the same actor who played Earn in Love Sick, and was surprised by the rating. It should be higher.
Came here to confirm that the actor who plays Phojai, played Earn in Love Sick, and found that I did not even recognize Offroad with Phumjai's otaku haircut and crazy personality! Love the acting in this series. Hate the influencer subplot because I stopped having fan obsessions in high school, but we did not have the access to celebrities that people have today on apps and smartphones.
