I sincerely hope all the haters who claim they are dropping the show will do so and stop commenting here. 90%…
It won't stop. It's almost a compulsion but since they are terminally online, they do not realize that it isn't viewed as mature or even intelligent to keep watching something that you hate, just to complain about it. I dropped the Addicted reboot because I felt it isn't that good. I stated my critique, and did not go back to that forum weekly to drag the show, nor did I continue watching the series. Why go over there weekly and nitpick everything just to aggravate people who are enjoying the show? I'm not a 10 year old who needs constant attention and validation.
PSA: Rules for onsen and sento: 1. Wash with soap before entering the bath, and rinse. 2. Step out of the pool and leave your fluids and possible poo outside of the water. The Japanese get uptight about even thinking you will wear a bathing suit in the tub, let alone a bunch of pearl necklaces. I love to visit both onsen and sento, and I can't enjoy the scene as much as I would like. This is all in fun, but just use the bathtub next time.
I think this show is great! I laugh a lot and find the inner monologues and sounds hilarious :) I feel like I'm…
I could not stop laughing when Thad took responsibility for the Nokia phone. Even that phone is hilarious, because I didn't know that you could still get a battery for it. The way Thad wanted to be alone with Luv was so funny! I'm enjoying this comedic role with Thad's lovestruck inner thoughts.
I don't hate it, but I just can't follow it. With so much dubbing AND inner monologue, I can't follow the dialogue.…
I understand how the dubbing and inner thoughts can be annoying, and a little messy. Like in the dining room over the Nokia phone, all three of them had thoughts, but LeeLong's non-verbals were so funny, that somehow the inner thoughts made the scene funnier. The dubbing doesn't bother me, and the inner thoughts is where I get most of my laughs, but you make a very good point.
Even if everyone else hates his show, it is making me laugh and I like it very much. I love seeing Lee Long as a goofus. He is so handsome and well built, so I'm used to seeing him as a tough, or a stud, but I like the internal Thad very much. I also want to know who the key holders to the other 2 locks are.
True. I had to correct myself though, Gawin is a pretty diverse actor, so maybe he is my #2 but Neo is younger than Gawin. Most of the other actors at GMMTV play the same type of character. I love Khaotung and First, but would like to see them play a different type of character. Khaotung played Chonlatee, and did a great job.
I agree that Neo improved a lot but second to Gun in gmmtv is taking it too far. Neo have a big problem of letting…
Gun is in a league of his own. I love First and Khaotung, but except for Chonlatee, they tend to play the more stern, "deep," or gritty roles. Wait, I do have to correct myself because Gawin is great too. So maybe Gawin will be my second. Gawin is another actor who is able to play a variety of characters.
Although I think that Gun is the king, I also have a soft spot for Neo, and Phuwin as well since they were a couple in My Tee. Seeing Neo's growth is biasing me, I'll admit, but I think in this series, he is rising to the top for me, even more than Khaotung and First.
I stated this after episode 1, and I still say that Neo is the best, acting wise, in this series. He shifts effortlessly from full blown a$$hole, then how he pretends to be sweet to Nick. Neo has always been casted in different types of roles, with different acting partners, and always adapts and has chemistry with them. At GMMTV he is becoming, in my opinion, only second to Gun, in terms of acting skill. Admittedly, Gun is in a league of his own.
I’m giving up on Thai bl’s. Just the same storyline, jokes, plot etc. I need something more. When will I get…
I understand where you're coming from because I feel the same way about mainstream dramas. In MY opinion, most non-BL Asian dramas are terrible. I cannot watch them mainly because of how women are usually portrayed. They are either shrill, nasty, vapid, conniving sex sirens, or boss girl, skinny, rich, CEO, perfect, know it alls, or victimized Cinderellas. I only watch historical mainstream dramas. I could not finish Friend Zone, but I'm enjoying Only Friends. So I get it.
is it Charn or Chan? lol cause I noticed on their wedding invitation it says Chan and Tin.
I'm just guessing that since Thai is a tonal language, maybe they were trying to make it closer phonetically in the subs, since the actors definitely did not pronounce, "Chan" as rhyming with "can." Thai transliteration sometimes is not phonetic like Romaji. For example, when there is an "L" at the end of some names, I notice that Thai speakers make the "N" sound instead, e.g., Pol = Pon. If they want an English speaker to pronounce it correctly, "Pon" should be in the subs, even though visual in the episode may write it, "Pol." The "P" and "S" sounds at the end of words are often not pronounced, such as "James" being pronounced, "Jame." I could be wrong though.
I know this sounds crazy, but I'm kind of glad that Charn kept a little bit of his gray character traits, and that his husband understands why this is the case.
i want nothing more from this series than to see boston & top taken down. i hope mew's anger brings hellfire and…
I want Top and Ton to get together so they can play head games and cheat on each other for years to come. They can get sex from a bare butt under a toilet stall, but choose to hurt people with their games.
as of 02/09/2023, my ranking of the main characters is:1. boston (favourite)2. mew3. sand4. chueam5. nick6. ray7.…
Mine as of Ep 4:
1. No favorite overall character. Do not trust any of them. 2. Top - favorite scumbag 3. Ton - second favorite scumbag who is honest with Nick 4. Sand and Nick - favorite "only friends" 5. Ray - favorite character who needs therapy as Sand has already said 6. Mew - favorite studious guy who doesn't want to get hurt, but watch out if you cross him 7. Chueam - favorite female bro (I've been this so many times)
I am trying to be open minded, but the COVID impacted Thai version is much better in acting and storytelling. It has taken me 4 episodes to feel a connection to one of the 4 MC, Sunwoo, now that he has had screen time other than being a doormat. Still not feeling the other 3 because they can be such a$$holes. As much as people like to hate on Thai BL, major weaknesses of KBL are poor acting and storytelling, and this series is not an exception. We're half way through and both couples are still at the push me/pull you stage. Yoo Gyeom still has so many tasks left, starting with breaking up with his girlfriend, that I'm afraid they will rush the ending. I thought the 2nd couple had a nice kiss, then Yoo Gyeom had to ruin the confession! I'm not a hater, but Korea should just stick to messing up their own webtoons, or at least make an effort if they do an overseas adaptation.
Akira's dere-dere side is so cute. No wonder Shin lives for them. I hate the memory loss trope, but it will make writing the letter much easier as he thinks about Shin.
