The issue with the Novel is YY treated her badly...never recognizing her love and sacrifices. From what i read from commenter who read the book...it was 1 sided love by YD....he didn't recognize it until later in the mortal realm
That is a reason why she chose Yumo.
In here...YY loves and sacrifices a lot for her....she doesn't fully knows it....in the trailer...she i willing to repay her with his life
So regardless of her having some more screen time in the recent ep....YY and YD bond is what is focused on for the beginning arch. Giving them a solid base...that didn't get to nurture to grow more until now
