With this type of writing....there is a purpose.
She could end up alone but with self reflection and understanding of what she needs and want
They have lots of discussion and deep conversation.
Their interactions challenge each other to think differently....even have some change.
His interactions with her allow him to really get to know another person... you can see by his facial expressions/reactions. Her words and her pondering is changing him. In turn her conversation with him is giving her better character reflection and changing her.
