I find these 2 characters similar....and yes i believe many ppl went into this with a bias ans certain expectations......i also recognized why it annoys ppl (her character). He manipulates situations and trick ppl for his personal gain.....but that's ok that he steals from ppl....his character is soo charming and likable. He is the MC so of course they make him smarter and more likeable....but he has his faults that is over looked. His character is very selfish and self serving.
Again different perspectives....many ppl dont find it that way
There is plenty dectective shows with romance...so i see no problem with it....honestly they had a few moments and it is subtle....it has not taking over the drama....the lame cases has
She has a reason to have him reject it....it is from her father....she don't want him to owe her dad in any terms....owe of gratitude....she has told him before.... her dad had motive ans it will needs to be repay...
I feel many ppl have these certain expectations and bias....and of course we see things differently....
Ppl see it as her trying to be cute and for forgiveness....yet no1 talk about him doing the same thing...sweet talking and acting cute to try to get away with things....i see them both doing this...soo... i didn't find that scene romantic with her acting cute for him to let it go....

The heart to heart talk about them wanting more time and love from the parents
The scene at the school/fire with what he said that show their progression in their bond. After the dinner at her dad's
Some scenes are childish and QC is done with those two and leave.
L.Y. doesn't just act childish and bickering with the F.L. he does it with his classmate too....he is pokey and was fighting like a child with his ex Harvard classmate like he does with B.Y....he was just as annoying as her insulting his friend ans picking a fight....that Q.C. was done with him and walked away cuz L.Y. was being wicked childish and was arguing nonsense with the other guy....he initiates it with his verbal jabs to annoy ppl. She is also is competitive and fight with her peers....these two are pretty similar

Is the F.L. character greatly written....no...but again it is also the eye of the beholder of their want and expectations from this drama....but the other characters has faults as well that no one pointing it out. Out of the 3 i like Q.C. the most.

My issue is the crime getting lamer along with the character's interactions...if they can't have an entertaining crime/criminal...at least have the characters be entertaining....non of the characters is that entertaining to me now....they lost that flow for me since ep 12

Ppl who is wishing and hoping for a lowkey B.L. i highly suggest you drop and leave this drama....it is not the directions they are headed and it clearly shows it since the beginning.... you'll be severely disappointed and will only have complaints about it. This bromance is not a lowkey B.L..... saving you guys the trouble....dont waste your time complaining about it. You won't get a satisfactory B.L. (out of 20 ep....maybe 5 scenes is lowkey B.L, even then it wasn't even good) even close and will be annoyed with all Female interactions because you expect this to be something it's not.

They had a heart to heart....they are both children who yearn for affection from their parents.

I saw a clip of Zhao doinf archery....she is amazing in her posture and vibe.....i can totally see her play a more stoic character

I have always watched drama to see if it clicks with me storywise.
Certain drama is clearly romance....i go in knowing it is that....
Other drama isn't...crime...thriller...horror...
I click on a possible drama base off of the storyline...
I.e. big Boss....it not a romantic drama....it is friendship
