From what I read. Jimmy lin version is better in balancing the romance for both leads....for one...she doesn't show up at ep 33 and the character isn't crazy....didn't realize the novel was so crazy lol

Everything clicks with us differently. I like both couples. Great supporting cast.

There is plenty of drama I watch and I end up liking and finishing up for the 2nd couple. That doesn't mean the lead couple sucks.....they just didn't click with me and capture my heart.

Then there are many drama where the 2nd pairing is boring...

What is really great about it even with the cliche is the characters and their relationships. It is extremely heart warming. When the M.L . Found his comrade and went to give /put his shoes on....my heart.

When the ajumma gave their friend food even though they might get in trouble.

Their cliche isn't soo horrible..I don't find that it's too much either. .I wasn't sure if they can make it with more of a storyand they were able to still keep me entertained. I feel the characters interactions keeps me going.
