Idk, it performed well in china compared to other dramas this summer so I think it is a hit. But many people did not like 2nd ml's screentime so it could also be a flop. I think it depends on how you define hit, this drama was very popular whether that was for good or bad reasons, so I guess it is a hit 🤷‍♀️

I am glad that both actors are appreciated, when watching the bts I can see that they both fully embodied the characters and worked very hard during the winter (I heard they got sick when filming rain scenes but they still continued to film)

Haha I was annoyed at first but after doing some research in the 2nd ml actor and finding out what a sweet and kind person he is, I also became a fan. That is why I don't care about his screentime either but I do feel bad for zlh since he put in a lot of effort to act as pwx but they cut his scenes 😥

In ep 35 and 36, is it just me or are pwx and srq's perspectives of the past completely different. But we are getting more on srq's perspective and that makes us sympathise with him more?

I have not finished reading the novel, so I will complete the novel if I feel like the drama was unsatisfactory.

A reliable media source confirmed that this will happen, it has been on the hot list for a long time and daylight company (the company making cherry amber) didn't refute it and they are quick to refute rumors, and during zlh's lancome event, his fans asked him what drama he will film next and he responded with "look out for what is online", the only thing people are talking about online is cherry amber. Anyway, I am still waiting for an official announcement from zjm and zlh (one where he specifically says he will act in cherry amber).
