The only thing bothering me about this show is that something is just off with the voice audio for a few of the actors. It's really noticeable with Chen Feiyu because he has that deep resonant voice, but somehow sounds like he was recorded in a restroom on a $5 microphone. Like it sounds worse than some VERY low budget stuff I've watched lately. 😂

I'm really enjoying an ML who is so cunning and strong, yet isn't totally cold, blank-faced and emotionless all the time. He has a lot of personality and is very entertaining.

Okay, so, for the record I intended to only skim the first few chapters of the novel and get an idea of how characters were translating to the show, if the atmosphere felt similar, etc... but now I'm so engrossed by it that I'm fighting the urge to just completely read the whole thing through. 😂

After checking out the novel in the past couple of days, I don't think the two main characters could have been cast better than this. Their dynamic comes through just the same on screen too. Very cool.

The way he's so smug and ridiculous over the rice cakes really had me laughing... 🤭

I think they could have done a better job on the sword, yeah. Especially since it's kind of an important object.

Watching Miles Wei as a foxy yet good-natured romantic ML in one show, then as a cold and dark scumlord in another at the same time is really a trip! His entrance was good and creepy here, he put on quite a terrifying expression. I don't think I would mess with Yan Ke. 😆

Wow... They are enchanting together. I got very immersed in that scene with the veiled hat. Both actors have such a strong ability to deliver those intense gazes and communicate with their eyes.

Thank you for taking the time to write this! Even though I don't like the plot device itself too much, this is still a very good and plausible explanation for their behavior within the universe of the show. ❤️

I'm the most awkward coward on the planet and I guarantee you that even I would end up being honest and talking about it with him pretty quick here. 🤣 It's just the usual dragged out plot device that a lot of these romantic comedies suffer from... At least the actors are cute together, I guess!

Fortunately there's other good stuff (or at least watchable) out so far this year... but sometimes I just wistfully come back and look at the poster... Maybe someday. 😭

Chen Feiyu and Dilraba are both so gorgeous and yet you can barely see them in the current poster... 😭

Not my usual type of story, but it actually sounds cute and has four actors I like in it... Maybe will give it a try!
