There are moments in this that COULD have come off as dumb and annoying, but ARP is so freaking hilarious it just ends up working out anyway. His face alone in some of the scenes is sending me off a cliff of laughter. 😂

As long as it's funny and adventurous, I will be happy enough! Ao Ruipeng is perfect for both of these things.

I like all of these actors and had no issues with them, but wow this story was ALL over the place and I'm not normally bothered by that kind of thing for the most part. Couldn't make myself finish it. Will wait for other dramas with CZY or WJY. 😭

Wow... this comment page certainly took a turn overnight, time to check out and actually enjoy the drama. I will say one thing, for better or worse you can COMPLETELY tell this was written and worked on by people from the PoB crew.

That was a wild first episode. Visually gorgeous and I love the thrilling BGM choices. Zhao Ling looks like a very interesting character!

The plot of this is nothing special at all, and the script is a bit bland. However, Zhu Li Lan and Xue Ba Yi are awesome as hateful rivals here. Deng Kai is pretty good as the more gentle kind of prince, he certainly looks very comforting and kind with the styling choices. But the REAL show is the acting chemistry between the two characters who are after each other for vengeance and one-sided twisted attachment, both of them always maneuvering and countering. Their gaze just burns with hate and intensity and watching them scream at each other in some of the final scenes was a treat.

Did they bait us with those first couple of kissing/sexy scenes?! I hope there's at least one or two more before it's over. 🤣

This is very funny and cute, but it's a little hard to watch with the voice actor dubbing Wu Jun Ting. His actual voice is so different from that one! I have been laughing though, so will probably continue with it anyway.

Yeah. Regarding the last sentence, some of the comments on this drama and "Love for You" were... not encouraging, to say the least. Heh.

On paper I wasn't too sure about this pairing, but they are pretty great together. I like how the characters seem both fascinated and confused by each other, while at the same time just openly going with their attraction and not trying to avoid it. It's kind of refreshing.

I agree with all this and I'd also like to add that he can be pretty funny! His timing and expressions are on point and hilariously cheeky. Quite a promising young actor.

Every Chinese drama is dubbed either by the actors themselves or voice actors because there's a lot of background…
Ah yeah, we're referring to voice actors dubbing over our familiar or favorite actors. Nothing wrong with dubbing as a practice for quality purposes! And to be honest, MANY of the voice actors do a decent or good job, there's just something better about hearing a person's real voice most of the time.

I really enjoyed the first two eps! I'm really liking the story so far and the leads are compelling as well. But…
There is so much dubbing on the dramas I want to see these days! I've been kind of hoping it slowly becomes less... but don't see much sign of that. 😂

Can't get enough of rewatching the scratch scene Hua Yong is really a shameless pro max ML in history of the drama…
I laughed so hard at that slow walk scene past all the ministers and his own brothers. Just an utterly shameless and gorgeous scumbag of a man (in that moment). 🤣

Am I the only person who doesn't have a problem with the FL or the ML? I don't think she's too cold or rude or…
I actually like nearly all of the characters and find them interesting to watch. Even SML is fine with me as a tragic character. And yeah, whenever things aren't moving too well with the plot itself, the show is still at least making me laugh or smile. I haven't felt bored watching this.

Question for people who are 10+ episodes in: Does Song Wei Long have good screen time and hefty amounts of dialogue here? I felt like his character barely got to talk in TEF and I'm thinking of watching this next. Thanks for any answers. 💕
