You are completely right. I also appreciate their subtle romance. It's rare in dramas. I like the variety of relationships in this too. It's quite unique actually. But it only makes it more of a shame that they were neglected.
The focus shift was fun at first but it's overstaying its welcome. Interesting and fresh characters and relationships are left underexplored, while generic ones are overexplored. Main couple and Wenxiao barely have any moments. Originally I thought Baijiu and Yuanzhou's relationship was intended to go somewhere, since it had a lot of potential. The two male leads relationship is touching and interesting, but it shouldn't have become the only thing that keeps me going. Feels like everything that doesn't involve Yichen is left unattended to.
Yichen is now a great demon, pei jing is leader of hunting bureau and WX is leader of wilderness so they will…
Thanks for your patience. I understand. Characters don't need to be righteous or logical. But then they shouldn't be constantly hammered on us viewers as righteous and just. It's one thing if characters act based on emotions or are being cruel because of grief, it's another thing if the drama/writer glorifies their behavior.

I believe if I knew someone was drugged by another person and harmed my family completely unwillingly, I wouldn't hold a grudge in the first place. Because that person would be a victim too. I'd use my anger and energy to find and punish the real culprit. But that's a different matter. If a human committed a crime, it shouldn't be treated like it's nothing, just because the victim is a demon. Otherwise it shouldn't be called justice by main characters. The supporting or irrelevant people don't matter. But I expected our main characters to be different by now.
I'm giving you a headache here. Thank you for your hopeful replies. Maybe they'll somehow manage to redeem themselves in the few remaining episodes, but for now, instead of hoping for the better, I'm going to accept this writer has a problematic mindset, and move on.

btw I hope I'm not coming off as rude towards your reply. I'm actually enjoying this. Just that super slow development on the morals ground and mutual understanding is frustrating.

Shouldn't they change their own mindset first? I haven't finished the story yet, but calling it justice when they treat one crime like it never happened and another like it's genocide, isn't a development I can feel optimistic about.
Finally got time to continue this. Starts sml arc. Actor's doing well portraying him fighting his inner struggles. I can feel his pain and confusion. The focus has clearly shifted towards him, but ml still holding his own presence. Impressive. Everyone used to dismiss Yuanzhou, now they keep turning to him for help. They shouldn't have taken Yichen to that place. People doing a 180 on him was painful. But it's realistic. Lilun's lines about a statue people worship is true. My only grip is that some of them still treat a human getting hurt very differently from a demon being harmed. I was hoping our characters could be different from the common folk after all this time. If it's being fair and just, like Wenxiao called Sijing's reaction to Yichen, it should be for everyone. Still no improvement regarding that. This is probably why some demons can't accept a human judging them.
Sure. Let's repair the most important thing in the entire world, out in the open where enemies are most probably close by. What could go wrong? Girl you poured 300 precious years of your life into this. Come on!

I hope they won't ask Yuanzhou to sacrifice something and repair it.
Exactly how far Wenxiao and Yuanzhou are though? Because Yichen is dying here.
Hope you haven't spoiled me 😅
