Very long gaming advert with a romance subplot
I enjoyed the friendship dynamics and what small breadcrumbs of romance that they offered up in this series but, while I enjoyed the first few episodes, I ultimately felt quite bored by the all-consuming focus on online gaming. I ended up feeling like I was watching a very long gaming advert with a romance subplot rather than a BL series. Only managed to complete the series because I watched most of it on x2 (sometimes x3) speed. Such a shame because the character portrayals were enjoyable, but there was just too much screentime devoted to Arena of Valor. I wasn't interested in this game before, and I'm even less interested in it now.
