yah. shallow dialogue. and honestly iffy acting from the supporting actors. felt a bit cringe. doesn’t feel cohesive, more like a group of guys and two girls acting silly independently. they’re not bouncing off of each other but rather just kinda running their lines. I don’t know, feels disjointed to me? but maybe more screen time like you said would have helped. I don’t know man. I got my eyes set on Chasing Jade now. this drama is an upset for me

tbh I wouldn’t know lol I think some of us are agreeing that the drama didn’t spend enough time introducing the characters and because of that, they’re very forgettable.

oh shoot my bad. but yes, agreed. male lead’s appearances are so few and far between that he seems like a supporting actor. and his appearances aren’t noteworthy to me. I feel more for chun lu than I do for him

I wish they would relabel this not as romcom but just coming of age slice of life for one individual and one individual only.

yeah exactly. show us pls, we need to know. you know what I also would have appreciated in addition to the build up of the leads’ relationship? I want to see ML having anxiety attacks or some type of mental and emotional breakdown so I can understand what’s going through his mind. maybe some finger fidgeting. I need to know so I can understand the gravity of the conflict within his home SO THAT I can invest in the conflict in his home. but the scene where he pulled the knife out from the fruits I was like wait what? this level headed male since episode one just did something highly uncharacteristic.

if intimacy is held in such high regard in china for young adults, then I really do not think he should have engaged in that kiss AND THEN SAY don’t forget me. I had to pause the drama.
