I read the novel and I was so surprised that Yifan was the one to chase him!! I love that arc too! I think her chasing him is a hugeeee sign of character growth- going for what she wants, risking heartbreak, risking abandonment again. it’s very courageous. and as for SY. our boy should rest. he’s done enough. I’m so happy he gets to be on the receiving end this time. so lovely to watch these characters grow 🫶🏼

yeah she’s not normal bc she’s actually sick, mentally unwell like you mentioned leading her to put walls up for safety. he probably hasn’t taken her bc well, (it’s a drama) and he most likely enjoys how physical she gets? (again, this a fictional show) but maybe if she started hurting herself like walking out the front door, he would? 🤷🏻‍♀️

yessss. it’s really relative to how excellent the leads are. they’re just too good that if they’re gonna give us side stories, it better be good too but they’re not. they fall flat

if Netflix was going to release like this, they were better off releasing the entire thing AFTER it was all out. I can tell you one thing, I’m not even watching on Netflix.
