I think he can’t think rationally when he’s talking to her. he wants her so badly at any and all costs and that’s where he slips up. episode 8 when eunsong and haein were talking at the gate after her divorce, he looked like he was about to divulge everything to her. he was telling her that she doesn’t need hyunwoo and all that she needs is him. it’s not until his mom pops in from down the road that he stops talking. it’s almost like his mom swooped in to stop him

I just finished this drama myself and I’m glad someone mentioned all the flashbacks. a few flashbacks for effect is okay but it just kept going and going. I’ve never had flashbacks that lasted EPISODES. That really wasn’t enjoyable for me. I ended up pulling through and finishing the entire thing. but for all the angst that happened throughout the show, that ending needed to have been a lot, LIKE ALOT better.
Hyunwoos prob getting a lot of heat bc HaeIn has a terminal illness so it’s much easier to side with her. we humans are empathetic creatures. I think anyone prior to the diagnosis would side with Hyunwoo after seeing how belittled he was in the queen family.

omo! you’re right. someone below said that she’s more of the tsundere type and it makes so much sense now. it was refreshing to see KSH sob in his bed while KJW stared at the mirror and didn’t cry. also before their 💋, he was crying like a bb but she was much more reserved.
anyone notice how the drama does a lot of closeups randomly at their wedding bands? if they hated each other since the beginning, they would remove their wedding rings when they’re at home or in their separate rooms. but they’re always wearing it. I like that little detail.
SPOILERS BELOW FROM EP 5 👇🏼 . .. … Dang I couldn’t stop the tears from falling when she was going through the preliminary treatment and he was watching her interview on his phone. my heart just ached. acting and directing was so well executed. this episode has to be my fave episode so far. I feel like all the episodes before this was a build up for real meat and juice and this was it.
I love how Hyunwoo cried when he was hugging her at the village. And the way the chaotic family was looking for her in the rain, so cuteee ❤️ and ManBok from CLOY!! I haven’t seen this actor elsewhere so I’m glad I got to see him again. Also peeped the CLOY in the bg in the queen household.
Eunsong’s evil deeds seem to be gaining some traction and Soocheol is falling for it. Excited to see what exactly eunsong’s plans are. Tired of him side hugging HaeIn tho. Pls stop touching her. And grandpas evil girlfriend took off her gloves and showed her claws!!
I was surprised the drama chose the aunt as the one to find out first (after Hyunwoo) but I think it breathes some humanity back into her. She’s just so angry all the time. I think she needed this. The way she cried at Hyunwoo asking why he let her go alone, I teared up too.
It was interesting to see how they started sleeping separately. KSH was so good crying his eyes out alone in bed 😭 and then fast forward to the end when she says she never said she didn’t want him by her side…
