Uk and Bu Yeon accepted to be separated by Mama Jin and they worked hard to save their so called "friend" . She even "performed CPR" on him. CP is selfish and an opportunist. He did agree to have Uk killed in part 1 and it ended to the petrifaction of Mudeok. Now that they are both back from the dead, he will hug them and call them his friends and he will save his butt by betraying his former master Jin Mu.
Even if they do, it does not change the fact that CP wanted Uk dead.
Being influencable does not excuse him. In part 1 , Jin Mu clearly made CP know if he would not object, he would have Uk killed and CP did not object and that led to the death of Uk and Mudeok. Just because he wanted to secure his own situation.

MDL is its own universe. It does not own the truth. Some dramas, no matter the quality, they reach a momentum where they become indestructible and non criticizable.
This part 2 has some great things like the character Bu Yeon but also it has some very weak things like the erratic silly nonsensical behavior of some characters who used to be likeable in part 1. So far I still like the two leads but gosh many side characters are quite disappointing.
