Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left…
It does not matter what he should have done. What matters is what he did. He took the money beause he thought it was his money. Again, I understand why even if I don't agree with it.
In Ep2 Grandma asked him to find Nam Do San. He said it's impossible as they both made him up. She asked him to…
When she said her name during the lecture it triggered something. He had a hunch of something about her. But he was not sure. When CEO Yoon Seon Hak asked him if he knows her he said no. That means he did not recognize her for certain.
If he had, he would have remembered the letters, their content, her story and her sister In jae since she called her sister's name Seo In Jae during the lecture. He would have introduced himself to her formally as a friend of her Grandma to ask news about her. That's what normal persons would do in such circumstances.
The hunch he had made him stalk her to try to force his brain and his memory by looking at her. When he said "is she crazy?" It meant he has not recollected his memories yet and he does not know who she is. Maybe that woman was walking to her home, to meet a friend, to a part time job... He did not know... He was just trying to figure out what was this hunch and who is this girl?
He followed her and she led him to grandma. We can see on his face when he sees Grandma he absolutely did not expect to see her there. Furthermore, he promised Grandma not to find her. He respected that promise until now. Why would he follow Dal Mi to be able to meet Grandma? Truth is that evening, fate reunited him with Grandma. No with Dal Mi. She was like an unknown light to lead him to Grandma.
Dal Mi was never the important person for him. Grandma was. This is why the day Grandma asked for his help for his grand daughter he asked what was Dal Mi's name again. A name he heard a few days before. I am pretty sure if he poured his heart in these letters, he would not have forgotten her name after a few days.
When he was a struggling teenager, Ji Pyeong was too busy to really care for someone else. He did things mostly for himself. Now that he is an adult and a successful man, he will need to change his ways to find someone for him. Pretty sure he will and almost certain it won' t be Dal Mi.
Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left…
No I am saying the money should be taken back by the bank as it is the result of unauthorized and invalid operations. As this is a drama, they just ignored the legal aspect to make it look like he made the money so it is his money. Let's say he got away with it.
As for Grandma she gave her affection to Ji Pyeong without waiting for a reward. That money should it be his or not, it is good she did not keep it.
Unless I misinterpreted how Nam Da Reum acted those scenes, I'm still convinced at some point HJP really poured…
In Ep2 Grandma asked him to find Nam Do San. He said it's impossible as they both made him up. She asked him to find the kid who won the Mathematical award. Because Dal Mi has been putting Nam Do San on a pedestal since then. Grandma said it is because of him Ji Pyung but he says it is because of them both. She wrote the letters with him and she started it and he said he only helped her.
Dal Mi's letters brought something to him. But why he would denegate his responsibility if he poured his heart in these letters. Why he would say he only helped he is not the cause of her delusion.
To say he had feeling for her or he was pouring his heart like there was connection between these two is not the reality. Dal Mi remembers almost everything about her Nam Do San but for Ji Pyeong she is a stranger. He can't even remember her name after she said it in the Lecture hall.
Ji Pyeong was never a very considerate person. He does not really care about the feelings of others. He does'nt express his own feelings and worse, he does not even know what they are. Probably he will keep being confused.
Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left…
Accusing grandma of stealing his money was overboard, unkind, unfair and greedy from him. But it is understandable because he was young and a bit hot headed. As for the origin of that money and it's legality, I won't comment more on it.
Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left…
He did not steal the money. He stole the facility to use an account which was not his to make money which he legally cannot claim as his.
If the bank or the broker or the Stock Market learns that the operations were done by him and not initiated and authorized by the official owner of the account (let's say the financial police using an AI determines that the authorizing signatures were faked and the transactions approved at a time the owner of the account could not have approuved them), it would be deemed invalid unauthorized operations leading to withdrawals, cancellation and compensation and the whole 70 millions revenue would be taken back or HJP could be sued to pay millions as compensation in court and sent to jail.
What Ji Pyeong did was illegal thus the money should never be his. But ok, let's say we are in a drama so he claiming that the money is his... we won't think too much about it.
I read somewhere that they want cheng xiao on diet cause for them she is fat
She used to be muscular and a bit chubby. It is because she was rhythmic gymnastics athlete and a dancer. I was shocked when I saw her in this trailer. She is a complete different person physically compared to Legend of Awakening. Like she lost fat but also muscle.
I was a bit scared. Hope she is physically OK and well in her own body.
Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left…
I don't want to put him in a false image, I am explaining to you how a bank account works.
If you put 10K USD on the account of your grandma, it becomes her money. You can go tell her: "grandma I am not giving you my money, you are lending me a place for my money in your account". That's your own little informal arrangement with your grandma. The bank and the Law don't care. It is her money for them. If your Grandma runaway with the money, you have no legal means to claim these 10K USD as yours. It's over.
If you use these 10K USD which are legally hers to make investments behind her back, the money made by the 10K USD are never legally yours either. Any sharing based on the percentage between the 10K USD and the other part belonging to your grandma is only an informal arrangement between you two if she wants it. That's never legally receivable. You can't go to the bank and say it's your part, the revenue of investment you made. It's not. What you did was just forgery and falsification of private business and banking documents including signatures and authorizations. That's prison for you if your grandma doesn't bail you out.
Han Ji Pyeong did that with the account of Grandma without her knowing it. So you acknowledged his wrongdoing. So you see it is not me who is trying to portray him in a bad light. He did it.
What you don't understand about this drama and this first ep is that Ji Pyeong was not only a good boy. No one is only good. Everyone has his bad side. And he was an angry orphan who threw away his prize sign or yelled at grandma. He would use his qualities and competences but also people and illegal means to find a way to college and to succeed. He was good by helping grandma with the letters. He was also bad by using her account behind her back. The reason people liked him so much in that 1eps is not because he was good or nice or gentle or perfect. He was not perfect. It was because he was just human with his good deeds and his mistakes that grandma forgave and she even gave him new shoes after all this.
I think you should pay more attention to the details and what they really mean in the description of the characters and their choices and their development. It would make the whole thing a lot more enjoyable for you. Instead of endorsing at once that the character is good or bad because you like the actor or because you find him/her cute and making trial of intent to people who do not side with your choice.
Thank you for the long discussion and for your commitment to explain your opinion.
Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left…
Again, if you and your sister put both your money in an account open in her name. The transactions are made for her, in her name and she is the one to sign if sign off is required. She is the only one legally and financially bound.
If you do the transactions without her knowledge, it does not matter how much you invest, what percentage, what day, the bank and financial system do not make any difference between your part and her part. The bank and counterparts would not even care about your existence. Only the police will come see you for forgery of signatures if they discover you are behind the operations without the knowledge of your sister.
I brought Samsan tech and Dal Mi an Do San here to say tha Ji Pyeong is a much better man now because he can open himself to others and help them without an agenda of his own. It was not in way to portray him in a bad light.
Anyway I took good notice that although what I said was never against you, you made a trial of intent against me and my comment. lol. funny.
Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left…
Legally it is her account so it is her money. The financial system does not differentiate what won in the account is his and what one is hers. The difference is in his mind only. And he used the money on it for financial transactions of the stock markets . Something he should not do without her knowledge and consent because in case of big loss or stock markets crash or investigations for money laundering or whatever, she is financially and legally bound. He did that behind her back so yes, he behaved wrongly.
Considering his situation and how things went, he can be excused but he was not a 100% good boy. Now and with the events with Samsan tech, Dal Mi , Do San... he is a real good boy.
Since I see people being confused on what "debt" Ji Pyeong has for grandma, I think I'll just share my take on…
Despite all the love she gave him, he still used her money without her consent. He misunderstood her and left her with nothing. He knew she gave her money to Dal Mi's father and she gave him his 70 millions. He took them and ran away. To be ungrateful is excusable for a young orphan who has to fight to survive. But not for an adult.
Only 15 years later, he understands the goodness of her heart and he regrets he was not there for her like she was here for him and she still wishes she had done better. Of course she made him promise not to find her if he was successful but as a grown up man, he should have felt the urge to go find her and help her and Dal Mi. Or even just to watch from afar and make sure she is alright. That makes his debt even bigger.
This is why he rushed to get back the mentor tee shirt. To help Dal Mi is aslo a way to repay his debt.
That year Ji Pyeong had to leave the orphanage because he reached the legal age. He lived in the city for a year…
You are welcomed. It's no legal advice. I don't know on the legal plan. It's just my opinion. But ok, there is enough material for you to make a good music video about them. Good luck!
That year Ji Pyeong had to leave the orphanage because he reached the legal age. He lived in the city for a year…
In South Korea the age of consent is 16 so if you make a video with a 12-13 yo kid in a bromance that people could misunderstand for a romance, you will have to explain yourself to the police. lol. Just kidding. They did not meet 15yo ago. But surely some people will give you the stick.
I'm only at first episode so I don't know much but what's the age difference between Ji-Pyeong and Do-san?
That year Ji Pyeong had to leave the orphanage because he reached the legal age. He lived in the city for a year writing the letters and graduated to go to college. So probably he was 19. Do San was in elementary school as per Dal Mi (based on the letters). He won first prize in a Mathematical Olympiad so they shipped him to college where a teacher said he was 13. So probably their age gap is 6-7 years. Do San should be 28 now but he still looks a complete nerd.
Typical lakorn piling drama tropes. The reason they were brought together as enemies is so far fetched. But Ok, the chemistry between the two leads is good. They are crazy and funny. Will keep watching.
On ep 6 when Dalmi told Jipyeong that she'd almost gotten the wrong idea and wondered if he was helping Samsan…
I don't think it is contradictory. Maybe she is sensing that the guy despite helping Do San to impresss her he might have something for her.
When she witnessed him helping them and she asked herself why, he was sending contradictory messages to her. To review the text of her pitch and give her advices for her presentation is one thing. To be sitting close to her when she was sleeping is another thing. Even when they were playing go stop the guy was looking at her weirdly. He has a very unatural behavior around her.
It is understandable that for a second she had that idea. And she said it bluntly to him because it is her personality to say these things . Do San explained her that he asked for his help. It cleared her misundersanding but is it a misunderstanding?
idk.... but i just don't like how they are keeping up with the lie... i think it's gonna be too predictable if…
Ji Pyung and Grandma wrote the letters. They both made NDS of the letters up. He said it himself. Dal Mi considers the NDS of the letters as her first love but she is growing stronger and more capable. The new her will get rid of this fantasy to embrace the person who will accompany her on the path to success : NDS from Samsan tech.
If he had, he would have remembered the letters, their content, her story and her sister In jae since she called her sister's name Seo In Jae during the lecture. He would have introduced himself to her formally as a friend of her Grandma to ask news about her. That's what normal persons would do in such circumstances.

So yes now he has a huge favor to return to her.
