While watching this, l thought Jung Chae Yeon and Mun Ka Yung were the same person. So many korean actresses with makeup look too darn similar. Sorry but l couldn't finish this drama.

The pacing a bit awkward...great acting from all cast!Almost didn't recognize Takenouchi Yutaka
I almost didn't either because he did his part really well. I was like he's got nice teeth for being a yakuza. I noticed the younger version actor nomura shuhei no problem though.

I saw this years ago and just got done watching Gasu Ningen (Human Vapor) and heard the Ellie song which brought me back to watch this again because of the amazing and wacky ost. I don't know what to call the ML (Nagase Tomoya) in this because he's so disturbingly dumb but competent it's so comical. Yes, it's repetitive but try to get to the awesome dance parts the ML does. It's worth it just for the dance parts with the awesome ost.

Korean screenwriters love these kinds of characters. Useless and unreliable cops are what they are known for in…
I've only seen a few j-dramas where the cops were kinda useless but towards the end redeemed themselves. They weren't super pathetic like in k-dramas. Maybe the j-dramas I've watched rarely have them.

A fuck ton of screen time was wasted on the nonexistent romantic yearning between the male lead and the female…
I totally agree. Romance wasn't needed as the human vapor was suppose to be the main attraction. He didn't get enough screen time.

Title Human Vapor Spoiler
This drama was subpar and I had high expectations of this drama until l saw that the screenwriters were korean. This was structured like a k-drama which really ruined the police characters because korean screenwriters love to make the police useless which they were in this drama. I didn't care for the lovey dovey romance between kenji and kyoko. So he gave you coffee and you fell for each other, okay lol. Glad to know that Kenji's dad died from truck-sama but then we never saw what really happened because they just skimmed over it. The siblings were just money hungry although they did their part. Kyoko being the master manipulator and making a fool out of kenji told me, don't trust journalists but then l remembered, the police are useless lol. I would have loved to know how Ren lost all his emotions/feelings because he still remembered his home but became a total robot. Plus more on the meteorite area would have been great. Ending was a bit weird as it seemed both kyoko and ren escaped. I guess they're together now. I enjoyed it but the screenwriters really let this j-drama down.

it irritates me they make lead character as incompetent police. At least do it to some side character or whatever.…
Korean screenwriters love these kinds of characters. Useless and unreliable cops are what they are known for in k-dramas and they decided to add them to j-dramas as well. Not a good idea.

Great acting by everyone. 👏Good VFX. ✨Interesting idea and plot. 👍The first episode was really interesting,…
I had the same feelings watching this. The screenwriters are korean so they love dragging things out. More detailed look at the meteorite area would have made it more interesting. Plus like how Ren lost his emotions and became like a robot. The FL basically played the ML though lol. I love how the japanese call him Gas Ningen in their translation instead of saying Human Vapor.

Whenever I watch a drama where the police are part of the main focus of investigating someone, I feel like they’re…
The screenwriters are korean so if you have watched enough k-dramas, the cops are always unreliable. While watching this drama, l saw many similarities to the structure k-dramas use which made my expectation much lower although this is a japanese drama. My opinion, this didn't need romance as the FL just manipulated the ML and made a fool out of him. I haven't seen the original but l think this one was subpar.

The ERPB is essentially a small group of unelected individuals deciding who deserves punishment, what punishment…
I agree with you. From the trailer this drama is set in a school environment so l skipped this drama because seeing the ML using violence made him just another bully. I knew a lot of things were not going to be addressed because too many people are involved in a school environment. The students, teachers, parents and then the educational system. Now knowing the ML's relationship with those in power, he's just like a dictator. This drama is overhyped.

I’ve never hurt more for a character more than ever. Poor im seok man he was just a kid and lost his youth 😭…
The scene when young im seok spat on the ground outside in front of his sister after he was pronounced guilty and put into the transport van was so impactful. As he was crying in the van he knew he had to separate all ties with his sister and nephew even though he was innocent. Their moment together after so many years was bittersweet. The actor also played a tragic character where he was a mute kid who was abused in the 2011 korean movie Silenced.

Judging from a lot of comments, many don't care about the after effects of what the victims will go through. Many only care about seeing the ML's justification against the bullies. The victims are skimmed through. The high rating is a head scratch.

I checked out this drama to see what all the hype was about. And after watching it, I get it — but only partially. What…
I agree, it is overhyped. Just from the trailer you can see a lot of issues that will not be looked at. The biggest thing is the violence towards the bullies justifies everything and the victims are kind of just browsed over. From other comments, a lot of people love the super hero ML violence on the bullies.

kinda cringe that a show from a first world country thinks adhd is not a real thing, no wonder this country has…
Haha, l agree. From the trailer the ML was enabling violence on teenagers already. Some are going to say the teenagers needed it as justification but skim over the real problems. Toxic environment at home, stress, pressure from family or people. These teenagers needed counseling before resorting to violence on them. Bring in the students, teachers, even parents as for the reasons for their actions to better understand each other.

The biggest thing the show lacks is nuance. The point is to look at how the education system has failed teachers…
A really good reason why l didn't watch this since it's set in a high school environment. I've see enough dramas, movies in this environment. There are too many people (students, teachers, and parents) and laws involved which makes it complex. If one group is briefly skimmed over with no real meaning then no solution was found. All 3 groups need to be present. Plus, from the trailer it seemed like the ML was enabling violence. Some are going to say it's justified so that the bully can have a taste of their own medicine but what the bully needed was counseling. The reasons to their actions like you said.

Hey, if you like lovey dovey dramas and living in lala-land then skip this. I've seen different countries do their version of bullying and educational problems that many countries have a lot of these issues in common. I thought this was GTO Korean Version or that drama l saw a few years ago. Well, skip for me but nice to bring awareness to these issues that it's happening throughout many countries. Time for some thriller dramas.

If your motivated by revenge, then you've gone too far. The best quote in the show. And every episode is a lesson.
But what if my revenge is to become better, to succeed or prove someone wrong? I guess I'll just get bullied, enable the bullying and have no motivation in life.

This was great to watch. Tons of thriller and had some brutal attacks. The 3-2-1 go/push was outstanding and unexpected when it actually happened. They talked about what a natural surprised reaction is like in an earlier episode and then a scene like that happens, it didn't disappoint. This drama showed what crazy, insane people were willing to do for money which can lead to betrayal, even murder.

Title Soul Mate Spoiler
This was a wonderful but sad watch. I was expecting to see more of Arata but it was fine. Seiichi was really lucky to have gotten married to his love at first sight haha. It was unfortunate what happened to him. I was shaking my head knowing a brutal Truck-sama was appearing when it focused on that picture in the car. It was heartwarming seeing Ryu and Johan supporting Sumiko. When Ryu said to Johan, "You were protecting it right, your soul." A very heartfelt scene which added to their platonic relationship. Aside from the bath house scene, they didn't need intimacy to show their support, care, and love for each other. Plus, l loved how the show didn't use fancy places to build memories. l rather spend time at a quiet camping area than go to disneyworld haha. It wasn't perfect, but was enjoyable and that's why l love slice of life dramas.
