The long hours, high stress, and intense exhaustion plus commutes plus hoesik (after work often mandatory socializing that includes drinking), you would think that they would just not have affairs. If the setting for this drama is 2013 and below, 20 years old = adult. If it's after 2013, then age 19 = adult. 18 is still considered a minor under south korean law.

No. I think we can assume that either or. The last episode's editing was a bit rushed with some stuff that it looks like they overlooked things and maybe want us to fill in the blanks.
