I hope to god they don't redeem yake at the end she deserves to suffer just as much as YJX
She is the worst. To betray her friend like that, girl-code broken, is so unforgivable.

Ding Yu Xi is not as good looking as He Yu but man, this guy is handsome in this drama. His admiration for FTY…
Eh. "Good looking" is extremely subjective.
He Yu is also attractive for sure, but I find Ding Yu Xi to be much better looking. To each their own!

i'm honestly so proud of this drama. it suffered from early downvotes, and it was stuck at 7.9 for a while. thankfully,…
It's probably my second favorite of the year so far! I love these two (characters and actors) together. Usually, I get the ick from such a big age difference between actors, but these two are able to pull it off for some reason. Maybe it's the dynamic of his characters being street smart and military focused and her characters being brainy and clever. Whatever it is, I forget about the age difference completely and they feel equal.

Okay, so this one is actually really good. I wanted to reserve judgement until I watched it for myself, because lately the dramas with above 8.0 have not actually been good. Or rather, parts of them have been good but I've had to fast forward a ton of filler OR the plot goes in circles and I lose interest by episode 15.
But this one is quite good. Slow burn but with fantastic chemistry, and the plot is excellent. I have no idea what's going to happen next.

If you've been on the fence, definitely give this one a shot.

I read someone say that Zhao Ling is "wolf coded" but becomes a puppy with Fu Ting Yun and that is my favorite type of hero (,,♡ᵕ♡,,)

First, lower your expectations. No, lower them even more 😂This is a low-budget drama, and the story itself…
^^ What junah said; lower (or modify) your expectations; it's a coming of age / slice of life drama that takes its time to tell the story. Thus far, it isn't a romance at all, and therefore the drama is realistic (and therefore a little slow).

Why is the ratings low? I think it deserves 8+
It's not bad! But it is slow and the ML is a bit stiff (so far).
This is a sweet slice of life drama, and so I think expectations of it being more of a romance (rather than a slower paced slice of life story) hurt the rating.

In terms of a slice of life / coming of age drama, I'd give it an 8.5; if I were to rate it as a romance / romantic drama, so far I'd give it a 7.0.

every drama keeps pushing this AI agenda....🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
I'm exhausted attempting to avoid technology I never asked for, don't want, and actively eschew. It's the worst.

I keep coming back here, hoping for news of a release date, even though I know it's too early. *SAD FACE*

i think viewers have a very rigid definition of love sometimes. people show and feel love in completely different…
Well said.

Reading this comment section makes me 1) happy the ML has more empathy than many of the commentors and 2) concerned about the people in y'all's life when you're out there walking around ready to judge people rather than approach them with curiosity and care.

There are many parts of this drama that are fantasy like or fantastical, but the ML's curiosity and care for the FL doesn't make him a doormat, it means he has basic human empathy. Furthermore, his passion for her makes totally sense to me and it's consistent with his temperament (as an artist and as someone who doesn't trust others easily). Perhaps curiosity rather than judgement isn't something you're used to in your own lives, but that doesn't make it fantastical. And if you think this kind of love is a fantasy (being empathetic and curious about a person rather than condemning them), then let me be the one to break it to you: No, it's not. That's what love looks like.
