Anyone who already watch this with eng sub, pleaseee spill the linkkk. want to watch this so muchhðŸ˜
There are no subs. I just extracted the subs and gave it to translatesubtitles.co. Yes, it gets some lines wrong, but good enough for me because I have some basic japanese knowledge and can just switch to the japanese subs to check. If I were a decent person I would revise the subs to share, but I'm not.
Also, reminder that there's the "Spinoff", 4 extra episodes showing what the character Sawa was doing during a period where she doesn't appear in the main episodes.
Is difficulty for me to sympathize with Tae's situation.Samurai Pride is the worst!Absurd! She believes that just…
Week 25 THE END There was one comment I was wanting to make but at this point it's irrelevant. Good, really good, really good! I loved watching this! The acting was so good and the characters so fun! Very well written and put together.

THAT LAST EPISODE 115 DAMMIT! Fujiki Mitsuhiko fooled me! Made me believe Nishikori had died BEFORE Lafcádio completed the book. Partly my fault, yes, because she had already played with these false expectations before, but still! Happy that it ended well for Lafcádio and Nishikori. Toki may be wife, loved, mother, but Nishikori is the Bro!

Week 22 I understood early that Toki was pregnant but it just don't make sense! WHEN AND WHERE THEY HAD SEX? I'm serious! Isn't it strange? In the first episode, in the very first scene there was an insinuation that the two where going to have sex, remember it? So I imagine that they would start they married life a bit awkward, with a bit of a distance, and get closer with time, but this never happened, there was no change. Besides Lafcádio hugging and spinning Toki in public is like they never touched, but suddenly pregnant?! We where robbed!
And now AFTER a baby was born the issue of marriage is finally addressed. This is something that was in the back of my mind, how "official" are those marriages when they just go to a Temple to be blessed by a Priest? What was the law at the time? It still forbid marriage with foreigners? It think it does, and that's why Lafcádio will have to "go native" and become "nihonjin", changing his name, right?

Started Week 22 and seeing Toki "trying" to learn english makes me want to throw her into a well!! But Lafcádio isn't any better, he is a bad english teacher!

Week 21 Felt the drama was exaggerated this week. Even if the worst happened wouldn't be the end of the world, things wouldn't go to ruin suddenly, the was no reason for so much tension and despair. I also felt that the story entered it's final stretch. It's clear that it started working on reaching the end goal.

Week 20 This week was tense, but happy that all ended well. For now...? And that new character, Kuma... "Little Bear" (reminds me of Super Cub), will she end married to one of the boys?

How much Lafkadio loves Toki specifically and how much is just his love for "the Family"? Now that he finally got a family he wants the best for then. How much was he motivated by trauma and how much for love? I want to believe that it was more love for Toki, and his effort to bring the family together and leave Matsuno was a consequence of his love for her.

Week 18 "How cruel... the city of Matsue."
I'm a bit "disappointed"? That Lafkadio didn't made any comments about the journalist and the newspaper? With him being a awarded journalist, one that wrote about the poor and unfortunate with kindness, I expected some sort of comment about the journalist and newspaper criminal behavior.
And now our two protagonists are started to look like a real couple, which reminds me... back in the first episode, in the first scene I think, the snake and frog joked "and now they went to sleep", when they really meant "and now they had sex". So, when will these two start to perpetuate the human species on screen?

Week 17 "Sawa in the light, Toki in the shadow, the last time they cried as friends." I approve this development, if Sawa had accepted would betray her would character arch.

Week 15 (EP71 They are lucky guns are still limited at this time, if not this story would end wish Nishikori coming in and showing everyone in that house) Seems like writers decided to make the couple face hardships first before going into everything else. I approve this decision.

Yes, and?
If you liked this go watch "Love and Fortune".

Good, really good, really good!
I loved watching this!
The acting was so good and the characters so fun!
Very well written and put together.
"GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD"
Only more week!
Just five more episodes!
The time frame... are the two going to be nurses for the army?
Fujiki Mitsuhiko fooled me! Made me believe Nishikori had died BEFORE Lafcádio completed the book. Partly my fault, yes, because she had already played with these false expectations before, but still!

Now, I had to say, this title "化化" (from 化物) is a bit misleading. There's much less ghost stories and superstition talk than I expect. I expected also see the direction playing more with that was it showed in a few episode that it can do.
Yes, is about Lafcádio "discovering Japan", but that the series shows him discovering the most is friends and family, and becoming part of Japan. Even the things he discovers and writes about via Toki, isn't shown much. How long has it since we heard a ghost story?
"Fujiki Mitsuhiko".
I'll remember that name, you writer... !
I understood early that Toki was pregnant but it just don't make sense! WHEN AND WHERE THEY HAD SEX?

False Alarm. Writer played me like a fiddle!
I don't like this new plot with the father at all!
Was this really necessary?!
I want to believe that it was more love for Toki, and his effort to bring the family together and leave Matsuno was a consequence of his love for her.
Had completely forgotten that this development should happen eventually.
Man... why things need to be so sad?
A comment in spoiler in bellow:

Lafcadio was a bit annoying this week, acting like a uncivilized barbarian. Such a diva.
