yeah, I thought they were two different people from the trailers initially :D
Me too - one of the few c-dramas where they have successfully pulled this off!

Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
FQW's character is unrecognizable from the novel, its totally different. Her entrance was almost cool except for…
I really enjoyed how she summed up the three princes from the way they hunt in this episode. It was on the mark for No 1 and 3 and funny as hell.

In ep 2, Hei Feng Xi called Bai Feng Xi, "Xiao Xi" (?) and she was so surprised because???I hate it when I dont…
She is just super competitive with him and they have been jousting for superiority for years. Just like she deems that Bai precedes Hei in jianghu lore about them. Naturally she takes exception to being called Xiao by him and it also probably implies a familiarity she is prickly about (I wonder why…😂😂)

Are you referring to HFX and FLX?
Yeah - his face as HFX looks so narrow and long and as FLX it looks so much rounder and wider.

Hey! Long time no see! And yes 100% plus his mom just entered the picture so we’ll see how that works out.
I loved Qiwu's assessment of him - goes after jackals so he is ambitious but of mediocre ability...

Why is nobody is giving respect to the Princess? Isn't she a royal? What's this stupid logic?
Isn’t it bc she was granted the title and not by birth bc her father is only the emperors brother? That’s why her half sister is not a princess.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
I am thinking that rumour may not play out bc it looks to me like Lishu the cat is gonna use up his 9 lives...
Yeah I can tell his storyline was extended probably for a reason. Looks like he is meant to light the lamp that will kill Shunde. All the body double stuff sounds messy this way looks cleaner.

I didn’t read the novel but in this Chang Yi almost destroys Zhu Yam but in the process gets frozen and Shunde absorbs the final bits and evolves into a mutated dark power. Xian Shi is basically talked down by his shifu in a dream and dies in remorse.

Yes, even I couldn't feel the chemistry between the leads in all the fan subbed episodes I've watched till now…
A friend got me the books bc the story is supposed to be a complex and intriguing female led NIF. I haven’t had time to read it but it sounds like it’s going to be heavier and very different from TBW. As for TBW it’s ending on a strong note and it looks like subs are coming any day now.

Indeed Qifeng was by far the most pointless villain.

The ML turns slowly into frozen fish after the wedding from clashing with Zhu Yan's profound dark frost. We don't know if he dies yet though he looks pretty icy and still but the novel allegedly has a happy ending...

Yes I remember that, what I am saying is they never convincingly explain how she became so wicked, just something along the lines of maybe she got bored with being good and Xian Shi spoiled her.

Zhang Zhixi - whose latest train wreck was Bright As the Moon. She was also in Royal Feast, Love and Destiny and…
Lol - I am only at ep 9 but happy to share some initial thoughts. It has an interesting narrative style, which is to tell the story from a very personal, down-to earth family perspective. Like a fierce general is afraid of his daughter and affairs of state are solved around the dinner table. Of course that and many parts are highly fictionalised, so much so that apparently a lot of episodes (~35 out of 80) had to be cut because it went too far. So there are some time leaps but the transitions so far are not bad considering how much got cut. The acting and directing is very good and now that I am used to the storytelling style, I am quite enjoying it. I am watching very slowly though bc I had hoped for more historical detail so I am reading up on the politics and characters as I go along. Am at the point where they swapped out Cheng Yi for Feng Shaofeng, I don't have an opinion yet on how that change is going to work out.

As for where to watch, I don't need subs so I am on Youku but I think from the thread below Viki set to Germany has subs.

That was a nice touch how the tail was sewn into the bodice of her dress. So Chang Yi does get his tail back after all...
