I suspect Haishi was just driving an empty carriage. Lang Huan went in the special tank the emperor constructed for her on an alternate route. That is why Ji Chang assumed they were unsuccessful in bringing her back. He saw what we saw.

Both YM and.CYT are ok to do real kiss scenes without stand ins. In fact in an interview one of them commented that they were so comfortable with each other the kiss scenes were not askward.

I don’t think the kiss was censored I just think they just did it as a fade out and It was a bad decision.

Well so far FJM hasn’t died so her crying should not be on the same level as TMOPB. She did a good job in this overall but like someone else also pointed out her voice acting needs a lot of work. It’s too girly pitch for the character she is playing and too “young”. It is off putting for audiences that already are uncomfortable with the shifu trope.

I feel the last 2 episodes are mostly about the emperor and Tilan and their troubles will result in the whole gang - Zhuoying, Haishi and Jianming reuniting for one last hurrah to take down a rather petty villain. So just soldier on.

Suolan was always questionable but in the novel pretty much everyone wanted to kill the emperor. If he is the final villain, he is a disappointing one.

In the book he was shark food. I would have enjoyed watching that.

I feel short changed over Zhuoying's final arc. It ended so anti climax.

The top hits in 1H 2021 all were all at well over 5bn views during airing. This can be considered only mediocre with about half the view count.

Yeah I really like this director I have never had to drop any of their dramas.
