I see what you're saying, I seen lots of her ranting because I love to rant myself....... but I must say.....…
Mary Sue is one of the most widely mis-used and lazy ways to describe a character because it can apply to most FLs out there in some way or another. Its like saying oh there is a FL in this drama, which is a matter of fact but hardly interesting.

Well she didn't make any points that were incremental to what is already widely said about the drama. I found it a waste of time and pointless but if it helped you your time was well spent.

As a God of War, normally they would cast an actor looking angry with no smiles to make him look fearsome. Not…
Chang Chen also has remarkable chemistry with ZZY but just like A'wu and Zidan, that was first love and ZZY and ZYW's Wang Xuan and Xiao Qi is a true, grownup love. It is a totally different vibe and I think both roles/couples are iconic in her/their acting history.

Review The Wolf
Yes, couldn't agree more. I liked L&R too but there was too many fillers and too much blood coughing.
I agree completely - I loved the plot and the way the backstory was revealed in L&R but not so much the characters. Funnily even though I mean to, I haven't been able to re-watch the Wolf because I am not ready to go through that again.

In other works, she projects differing intensities and it's dependent on what the scene calls for. It's true this…
Indeed. Its so great that this character in its totality is interpreted by ZZY and no one else.

Awu wearing sneakers in Epi 20! Another round of ZZY roasting.....
Wow that is the kind of attention to detail that floors me... do these people have no life that they are watching every scene in slow motion and literally frame by frame???

Its really cute it made me smile even though its kind of juvenile. But I wish he wrote Wang Xuan repeatedly instead…
Indeed it does signify that he is family and intimate with her now so I can definitely live with Awu also... In fact when she was surprised and delighted he knew her nickname that was a great scene.

Its just that if he calls her Wang Xuan or Xuan'er its a name that is uniquely his and reflects her personal growth from that brave girl to a formidable woman.

Regarding Xiao Qi's love letter:
Its really cute it made me smile even though its kind of juvenile. But I wish he wrote Wang Xuan repeatedly instead of A'wu. I just think A'wu the girl loved Zidan but Wang Xuan the woman loves Xiao Qi.

Would you be so kind as to please check the spoiler box? Many people have not watched up to that stage (including…
Me either! And that is kind of a major spoiler - please let's keep this thread spoiler free - people have been great so far!!!

Let's just say that if we were to review AvenueX's review, the quality of her review is much worse than what she thinks the drama is. It is a completely pointless rant by a reviewer who wouldn't recognize a Mary Sue if they slapped her on the face. It was also very nasty she took a sharp elbowed swipe at Marcus Sim (no worthwhile English speaking reviewer likes the drama or something like that).

Well hopefully you didn't post that you unsubscribed unlike some poor user that she just named and shamed. I also unsubscribed her some time back bc I realised she mostly wants to watch and review the modern stuff which is fine but not what I am interested in. I just think if modern stuff is your thing, watch Western dramas (which I do) no one does it better. But her videos still keep popping up on my darn YouTube I can't seem to mute the videos or the posts....

They are a despicable pair but now that I know the backstory, I feel a bit sorry for Huan Mi and the Zilv. What am I saying... poor Wang Su!

Can someone please provide me a brief background between King Jianning & the Emperor. I know they are brothers…
Jian Ning wang and the Emperor were front runners to inherit the throne but Jian Ning wang was their father's favourite. He died before formally naming a crown prince. But the Dowager Empress (remember all of them are from Wang clan) produced an imperial edict naming the Emperor as the successor. It is never made clear exactly what happened but it is mentioned in many times, especially by Wang Lin that the Emperor would not have succeeded the throne without Wang clan. Possibly it was a fake edict.

I felt like her rant on Legend of Fei was even much more lenient. This drama, they proved they used their budget…
Oh wow - I only very occasionally follow celeb news I had no idea she is such a prima donna...
But I did google ZYW and see he has an absolutely stunning wife!!!

It doesn’t bother me at all. I love the drama reminds me of the rise of the Phoenix and Chen kun and Ning Ning…
I found the first 2 episodes slow as well and then I fell in love with Chen Kun and Ni Ni. Tbh, the last arc is not great but the acting is fabulous and the ML character Ning Yi is my favourite character ever paired with a great FL no less. It has less romance as this one but I think the politics is better (minus the final arc again).

Yeah I don't like mean rants either; even when I agree. That is why I like Quippe Quest - she does it so nicely and she is funny as well.

As for ZZY I have seen some of the Chinese netizen posts - Douban at least seems still quite balanced/constructive. I sense many people still haven't forgiven her for her relationship with the Isreali billionaire - the one that had all her brand ambassadorships etc pulled maybe about 10 years ago. I always felt that is her business I never got what the big stink was about.

BTW I started watching Qin2 and OMG I totally feel you in terms of the ML for Qin4. The dude is an amazing actor and so well cast I can't believe it! I am kind of glad I watched Qin4 first...
