Where do you watch episode 5&6? IQIYI is only updated to episode 4
I use the same phone no to register both memberships and they don't seem to have turned off my VIP access on the China site. I don't need a VPN to access the China site, it just blocks me on ATV but its most likely bc I am in HK. I can trick the ATV app to release content raw by watching a couple secs of it on my phone from the Chinese app and then accessing it from my ATV via my watch history. I believe the ATV app which still has many glitches will eventually get rolled out more broadly, iQiyi is making a huge international push...

I can access both sites with the same membership. The only difference is that I have to stream from my computer/ipad when I try to watch from the China site but I can access the international site directly from AppleTV.
I am so happy she fell for him before she realized he has been her fantasy hero all along! She looks like a sad and lonely girl that doesn't like to accept help but her expression gets subtly happier as she goes along. Its very good acting I just get a sick feeling at the pit of my stomach that this devolves into a Romeo and Juliet trope given her family's tragic end.

Just one small follow up - my folks just finished watching this and they caught this detail that I missed:
* Note Lige goes into exile to their countryside home. It was her surprise for Pengcheng wang when they were visiting Consort Sun (around episode 50) for her birthday. She tells him she knows he is close to his foster mother so she wanted them to have a place near her. The location is where people (e.g. Consort Sun) get banished or exiled to.
I hope they don't do as you did with Mark Chao (who was wonderful in Ten Miles of Peach Blossons), playing Ye…
That one with Gong Li was awful. Even in black and white she looks like his mother and his acting was not noticeable in it. It was not a good pick from a picky actor.
I have to say there are some seriously disturbed characters in this drama:
1. We have Hao Chen and Wutong who both have a fetish for mindless puppets instead of women; 2. We have Teng She who is spoiling for a fight over a thousand years; 3. We have a fox spirit who is trying to free her monkey for a thousand years; 4. And finally we have Si Feng who still trails after a woman that has killed him dead over 9 past lifetimes!!! These peeps are all overly obsessive and need some serious therapy.
As a Chinese, never have I watched a c-drama which requires me to depend on the subtitles as much as this drama…
This is an extremely difficult drama to translate because many of the metaphors and poems need interpretation and requires the interpreter to be highly educated in Chinese classics and literature. I had to watch this with my dad so that he could explain some of the hidden meanings for me.
