Ten episodes into it and I think it is a gem!The cast has a great chemistry and you can literally feel that they…
Yeah its pretty entertaining but I really wish they used a different voice actor for the FL. This one sounds like she sucked helium. Its my only small irritation with the production.
Does anyone have Haochen's address? Since he wants a woman who doesn't have six senses, I am happy to mail him a life sized blow up doll so that he can let Xuanji go....
How did it go from having co-ed schools in the Tang dynasty to women not going to school by the Song dynasty?…
Wu Tzetian. I don't know it for a fact her impact on schooling but she was so power hungry and dominant that after her rule, women became feared and more supressed for a long time in case they would become too ambitious.
Can't help you - not gotten very far in this but 10 lifetimes???? Wow!!! Sounds exhausting! I really hope they…
Oh I don't think I want to watch in that case... you mean they have to break up 9x??? Are there even enough episodes. After the first 1-2x I won't even feel sad I'll just be like get it over with...
I didn't watch the credits but she was so amazing I wik-ed her and found her given name is unknown.
I think regardless of how fictionalized she is in the drama, it must be difficult to be married to someone like Huo Yuanjia. So she must be quite amazing although maybe not like portrayed in the drama.
Jingling urges Pengcheng not to despair. The vindictive bastard Wang Mian's confession which names Lige as a co-conspirator…
I don't think she "dies" its just wine. She left the capital on her own - she doesn't need to be moved by anyone. She leaves before he gets back because she didn't want him to leave with her she wants him to stay and complete his reforms. That is what the voiceover says (which I assume is in a letter). He is just a prince and prime minister he is not and never becomes an emperor. You must be watching a bad translation. After he finishes with the reforms he joins her in the countryside. His work is done. But if you want to believe she dies you are free to, I just think that is an even bigger stretch of the imagination.

Its not made that clear but if you watch it carefully you will come to the same conclusion. The emperor did pardon her but of course she cannot stay in the capital in such high status.. At the end he joins her at the house she built for him (she shows it to him around ep 50) in the countryside near where his mother was banished to. It is more imagination to assume she died because nothing is shown other than she drinks some wine. The only thing I concluded myself is she must have been exiled and that was the compromise reached with the emperor. Same compromise Pengcheng did with Jingling with respect to their mother.
does the heroine commit suicide at end? i am not clear .
No she doesn't. I won't retype it there is a long spoiler in the thread below that I posted 6 days ago explaining the end. It is also in the comment section of my review.
