Title Love and Redemption Spoiler
why would you control what anyone thinks or does not think , does or does not do?
Oh I am very much enjoying both; truth be told I only watch L&R after I run out of episodes for both. I am not in a good mood, I lost two uncles and a cousin in the last 3 months. L&R is too excessively angsty and sad for me I struggle to watch it. Both Maiden Holmes and Qing Qing Zi Jin are funny and a bit silly and my bar is low right now but I don't think I am giving good reccomendations at the moment so see what other people think / see for yourself.

Yes, Young Blood was pretty good for me.Other investigative plots to consider for 2020 would be The Sleuth of…
What I mean is Republican era is infamous for sad shit happening because it sucks to live in that time bad shit just happens. It’s not the case in detective L and there is a little bit in the Eight only. L&R is OTT angst by comparison.

Ahhhhh!!!!! ICIC!!! I kinda thought I was missing something. Got it and IMHO best ignore. I only can wish to enjoy everything I am watching as much as you like this and it’s a great “problem” to have. :)

Hmm... I see what you mean but from what I have seen so far the comments seem overwhelmingly positive. I don't open spoilers esp since I am way behind only at ep 30ish but looks like everyone loves this so maybe there are negative comments I haven't seen yet..... I can honestly tell you I don't super love the show as much as most people but its good enough I am happy to keep watching.

You may like Detective L.
The rest are on my PTW but I have to tell you the cases in Hairpin are a bit of a yawn so its gonna all be up to the leads. (I read all the books).

I am ok with people saying what they think regardless of whether I agree. That;s the way it should be. Thankfully this site does not restrict divergent views.

Haochen left the biggest impact lol
Can;t stand his character but I think his acting is really really phenomenal. I like good villains like this.

It's a little bittersweet for me that he's SO good looking but such a mean character
I vaguely remember seeing they are all dubbing themselves in this?

someone pls give me drama similar to this...
If you are looking for a historical detective drama, you could try Miss Truth or Detective L. If you are looking more for a wuxia with some crime solving thrown in Under the Power is not bad. If you just want something with a twist at the end The Eight is very good.

Yeah it is terrible if I were him I would walk away. Unlike most people, I only think this is only an ok drama. I find it really hard when one of the leads gets walked all over like that. I think whether its ML or FL doesn't matter, they have to love themselves at least a little bit.

Agree. Hopefully we get some good cases moving forward.
Well that one is in a bit of a different league IMHO... But I am happy enough with this one...

Possibly but I am tired of these tropes. I hope he is just an ordinary not too special guy.
I would prefer he kicks butt at the school and earns a high status like the mother fears and shows them based on his own effort. But undoubtedly you are right there is more to his backstory.

I am enjoying this quite a bit but I wish the cases were a bit better written.
