Good observations, I also enjoyed the character interactions. Btw this is not a Chinese story, it is in the Xuanhuan genre which includes Western fantasy. And typo - it should be Bei (north) clan not Bie clan.

It's gotten some pretty good reviews, esp wrt YXW's acting. I suspect if he is agreeable to make S3, they'd probably go ahead with it even if they can't get everyone else.

Wouldn't be shocked if its under consideration bc they just closed off the Douban score after releasing it. In any case, the KOL arc is complete so its fine - its just like SSS and Eagleflag where the story continues but won't get all adapted.

Heheh - the idea that Zheng is going to be able to woo Amita is beyond absurd! This is a classic example of the boss devising an absurd strategy and the worker being forced to execute regardless.

All 3 parts were filmed years ago. They just didn't invest in post production which is gonna be expensive and time consuming bc of the CGI. But Part 1 was such a huge hit there should be enough to invest in CGI for Part 2 and 3 - if they decide its worth spending the money.

Yeah not worth going to the theatre for but I plan to watch a good quality version on my TV but still waiting for the streaming version to be available.

Its a very good drama - draggy in some parts.
