It did slow down a bit but if 2 episodes can make or break a drama for you then you must not like it that much to begin with. To be honest, this is a very watchable drama but it won't rock your world so maybe that is why you feel that way.

Yeah nothing can be done about the sudden drama drops unfortunately - you will have to hang out on Weibo or Bili-Bill to be on top of that which is a huge time sink. As for the in production dramas I think as someone mentioned dramapotatoe does a good job tracking them. iQiyi, Tencent and Youku all have their quarterly drama pipeline updates tp showcase to investors and advertisers. That's when there is a blitz of trailers and posters of what's coming in the future months. iQiyi just did one and I think dramapotatoe painstakingly detailed all of them.

Yeah unfortunately these bits are few and far between and the rest is just one long mind numbing lecture.

I don’t think the issue is whether it’s based on real cases - all of these dramas are to some extent. It is more how it’s brought to life by the characters in an interesting way. This just isn’t. China does a lot of these educational docu series - I have watched and enjoyed many of them bc they are far better written with less pompous and didactic script. Draw the Line which is also funded by the People’s court and based on real cases is written in a vastly more interesting way. It also is a similar docu drama series that debates important current ethical and moral issues. And it also has at least two internet related cases. So I have to disagree that it had to be boring it does not. It’s a writing and directing issue.
