I agree. The later part was dragging and the best part is the illusion of his past life. One thing thought, sometimes i felt like khong Hou is more into him than the reverse. There was some parts that he could have express more his love.

I think the story became more interesting as they reveal more about the past and the characters who are friends with her aunt. I felt the pain and the nostagia of their past relationships.

Im surprised that even thought his dramas doesn't get aired, he still get Ml roles in good productions.

Seriously, i felt like watching a sequel to a drama. Both stories present and past are interesting. I think if they was really a prequel to this i would want to watch it with the same actors.

If you like zhou yiran, there is a chance you might like him here too. His role is mysterious and sexy. It depends also if you like wuxia. In this genre, there is often a lot of characters and they talk a lot about what happened in the past. So you need to focus to fully understand. Thats one of the reason, its not for everyone. When the comments are so divergents and the ratings is so close to 8, its more a question of taste. For me, it deseve something between 8 and 8.5

I discovered Zhou yiran in Twelve letters. He was really good in it but i like him even more in Génération to Génération. He is not the typical idol actor. His acting is mature and expressive. One thing i like about this drama is the angst. Its very well developed.

I think some people are not used to watch wuxia. Nowadays, they just dont produce as much wuxia dramas as before.

I was tired of watching same kind of plot for historical dramas. Its always about politics or typical xanxia. This one makes me a bit nostalgic about old wuxia dramas. 😊

Im on episode 8 and i would say its getting interesting after episode 5. The first 5 episodes are not bad, its just confusing because there is so many characters and the backstory is not well explained. Its the kind of story i need to focus to understand.

I am on episode 21. I feel disapointed by this drama. Its watchable but i was expecting more. They have a powerful couple but fail to deliver a well written story. The backstory of the monsters and the hunters are not very well explained. The hunters didn't look very believable either. Nie Ju Luo was just so much cooler than the rest of the group.
