Ok mini-show with a diffent storyline than most mini-shows

This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is quite simple but different from a lot of other mini-shows out there. The editing could have been better but that’s to be expected.
Character wise:
FL is a sweet and kind young woman who is supposed to marry the Water God.
ML is the Water God and he is gentle and loving. Marrying a human woman is his destiny as well as hers.
Acting wise this is not exactly top shelf but the actors are sweet and try their best within the limited timeframe.
Well, since it is so short - and the main characters sweet and adorable - this is an ok watch.

Low budget love story that won't rock you world

This is one of these countless low budget productions that overflow the entertainment market at the moment. Quite frankly, it doesn’t stand out in any way - and not just because of the ridiculous auto-generated english subs.
The love story goes from 0 to 100 in a split second but nobody reacts to a proposal like that (ep 17) if they really love the man in front of them.
Acting wise this is mediocre (for the most part) even if ML seems to be somewhat talented. I think I’ve seen him before in these productions (on YouTube) that have no real name.
FL seems ok when acting alone but the scenes with ML feels awkward and lacks any chemistry. It doesn’t help that there is a substantial height difference that makes FL look like a child beneath the towering ML.
Well, if you have some time to spare - and don’t mind the low budget feel - this is an ok watch.

More silly than funny game-themed mini-show

This is a not so funny mini-show. The storyline of a young man logging into a game sounded interesting. In the game he gets missions and rewards. That part worked fine even if the text on-screen wasn’t translated in the version I saw. The missions themselves are sometimes interesting but they somehow got boring and I ended up skipping just to finish. It does get more interesting towards the end but not enough to salvage the show for me at least.
I guess the cast had fun shooting the show, but only a fraction of the fun actually comes across the screen since it gets more silly than funny. What must have been a funny script is ruined by exaggerated acting, silly characters and way too rushed format.
Well, if you like these short shows you might find this a little entertaining, but my advice is to find something better.

A small hidden body-swap gem

This is one of these small hidden gems I sometimes stumble upon. The storyline might not be unique or new, but the execution of the story is great. It is kept lighthearted and funny.
Character wise we get this Emperor that is somewhat cold and indifferent towards his Empress who is a bit of a troublemaker especially in regards to the managing of the harem where the Emperor's favorite concubine rules. When the Emperor and Empress switch bodies they have to rely on each other to get through their everyday life and the Court affairs.
Acting wise this is pretty good. It takes some skill to portray (believably) a character of the opposite gender and the main actors possess that. There is also development of the main characters which is good, given the limited timeframe.
So, if you love a good body-swap comedy, with lots of funny moments, this is definitely well worth watching.

Nice "second chance" mini-show with a strong love story

This is a really nice mini-show. The storyline might not be new and refreshing since a lot of shows are similar to this, but it is highly entertaining. There are a lot of the usual tropes but they are handled in an interesting and good way.
Character wise:
FL is a strong and independent woman - at least after she gets a second chance to live her life. The thing I love most about her is that she doesn’t become weak and vulnerable like so many FLs do when they fall in love. Her love and trust in ML is unwavering.
ML is a warm and dedicated man. They describe him as possessive, but I see him more as decisive in his actions and love towards FL. He is not the usual cold CEO that FL has to thaw.
Acting wise this is actually pretty good with a few exceptions that doesn’t ruin the show in any way.
Well, if you love a fast paced mini-show - with a lot of the normal tropes that’s handled differently than most shows - this is a nice watch.

Entertaining revenge plot mini-show

This is actually a great revenge plot mini-show. The storyline is interesting and fun to watch. There are the usual jumps and a feeling of scenes missing, but that’s to be expected. What’s important is that it’s entertaining - and this one is.
Character wise:
FL is such a badass and the way she plots her revenge, uncovers the truth, manipulates the villains and finds love is great. ML is supposed to be a playboy but is anything but. Both are very likable characters.
Acting wise this is rather good for a mini-show where there is little room for showing off your acting skills. Both main leads do a very good job doing that within the limited timeframe.
So, if you love a great revenge plot drama with a splash of romance, this is definitely well worth watching.

Nice mini-show that keeps you entertained

This is a nice little mini-show. The storyline is actually quite interesting even if the short format makes it feel that there are scenes missing or things are rushed. Not to an extent that ruins the show so it’s still worth watching.
Character wise we have this badass woman (FL) who is ordered (by 2ML) to approach ML who is a smart and rough man - and a criminal apparently.
Acting wise this is good and the actors do a pretty decent job with their characters.
So, if you are into something short/fast with a sweet unexpected love story, this is worth watching.

Great game-themed show with lots of excitement and epic love story

This is a brilliant show. The gaming-world Pangu is so thoroughly made and it feels like being in a fantasy world as good and interesting as the Harry Potter universe. It’s that good. I loved the degree of imagination that the writer(s) had while creating this story. It comes close to how some of the games I’ve played are constructed. It’s like the writers combine World of Warcraft, Diablo and Avatar. What a wonderful idea.
In game-themed shows we normally get a story that is mainly situated in a historical setting and a FL who meets a prince and falls in love. This is so much better. What I love most in this show is the alternation between RL and VR. It’s kind of like logging - using the interface of Avatar - in and out of a game like “World of Warcraft” or “Diablo” - getting and completing quests/missions, doing battles and receiving rewards like items and skills. We also get a story about “body-swapping” - but at a whole different level than most shows with this theme.
The level of imagination is awesome. The cloaking device was awesome and the scenes so well constructed that I was swept into the story biting my nails in excitement. Brilliant.
Are there any plot holes? Of course there is but none that ruins the show.
I hesitated starting this show because there are 36 episodes and I feared that there would be draggy scenes and a lot of fillers - but there really isn’t. I ended up thinking that we could really use a season two of this.
Only a few things bothered me but one thing that baffles me is since this has a lot of animations and extensive graphics there is still a scene where ML and 2ML are on horsebacks in RL that is so bad that you can see it’s made with a screen and edited as a kind of close up shot (from waist up). How did that get through the quality check?
Character wise:
I loved that all the characters were realistic and no one is only good or bad. As in real life we are all flawed and sometimes take the wrong path. I personally don’t believe that our life is predestined. I believe that we all have the ability to choose which way to go - sometimes we get lost but there is always a way to find the right path again.
A character that did annoy me pretty much from the start was Zhang Yun Er (girl in love with Lin Feng). Her pouting irritated me and made her look (and act) like a spoiled teenager - not a pretty sight. But I have to admit that I changed my view of her and the things that happened to her made her one of the biggest victims in this show. No one should be treated like that. Luckily she came out alright on the other side, finally grown up.
Acting wise:
This show is filled with great actors not only the main couple but all the primary cast. More than one of these actors play two versions of themselves - and they really nail it. Xiao Yan (FL) especially manages to show us which person she is by using body language and micro expressions. What fun she is to watch.
Only thing I didn’t like that much was that despite the really good chemistry between the leads, their kisses seemed a little awkward and a bit forced? Maybe it’s just me but they were little more than pecks on the lips. Maybe they had to be like that since the show is lighthearted and would have to be rated out of the main (young) viewer-group if they were too hot.
Anyway, if you love the gaming theme and are a sucker for love, this is a definite “Must Watch”.

Sweet short show with refreshing storyline

This is such a funny and sweet short show. The storyline is rather refreshing. The basic story of a woman who experiences her first kiss while very, very drunk at an office party is somewhat new. Not knowing who the man is, she encounters 4 different love related stories while trying to figure out what happened that night and ultimately start a relationship with that man. That led to a lot of funny and awkward moments.
Character wise we have this relatively young and inexperienced (in love) woman who is a game planner at a big game development company. The 4 men she thinks might be the one that night are her calm and collected boss, her young and naive junior, a calculating actor/singer that wants to be an ambassador of the game she is developing with her team and her sweet and close childhood friend who is also her landlord/roommate. She has to go through a lot before realizing whom she actually loves.
Acting wise this is pretty good and I have actually seen several members of the cast before. Even if it is a short show they are able to give their characters a bit of depth which is better than a lot of other short or mini-shows out there.
So, if you love a funny and romantic short show - with some interesting characters - this is definitely well worth watching.

Another season and you're still in the dark…

This is an ok mini-show. The storyline isn’t exactly new and to be honest I only watched because I saw season 1 and liked it to some extent.
Season 2 is not as good as season 2 and since it ends on a cliffhanger, we must expect a season 3. I’m not sure I’m gonna watch that.
Acting wise this is not a great show but it’s not that bad either. As in season 1 the FL is much too exaggerated and acts more like a spoiled brat than a general.
So, if you watched season 1 you might enjoy this to some extent, but just don’t expect too much.

Crime solving themed mini-show with midiocre acting

This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is crime solving and the case is interesting. The short format makes the show feel rushed.
Character wise: FL is a clever woman and ML is shrewd and smart.
Acting wise this is not that good. It affects the overall experience of the show but it doesn’t ruin it. Watch it for the crime solving and not the acting.
Frankly, you won't miss anything if you skip this show.
Anyway, if you like a mini show with crime solving themes and only a viff or romance, this is an ok watch.

Sweet and lighthearted mini-show for a rainy day

This is a nice mini-show. The storyline has nothing new but it’s sweet. Since it’s a mini-show we get these jumps in the story and the coherency is pretty challenged - like their love that goes from 0 to 100 in a split second. It’s not to the point of confusion but still.
Acting wise: Even if the story is sweet, they should have found actors that were more comfortable with kissing. The kisses seem awkward and nothing more than pecks on the lips. Often we get these angled “kisses” - and why still so shy when they supposedly have already had sex? Another thing that annoys me is that FL believes some stranger telling her something bad about ML and she doesn’t even ask him about what’s true. Immature.
In terms of chemistry, there isn't much between ML and FL. They are not bad actors but they are not able to fake an interest in each other.
Well, if you like something lighthearted and easy to predict, this is an ok watch.

Nice movie with battle between good and evil

This was an ok movie. The storyline of a battle between two dragon-sisters fighting for good and evil isn’t exactly new. The fight scenes and scenery is beautiful (for most parts).
Character wise we get an evil sister helping a man to become emperor and a good sister helping a young man try to fulfill his destiny.
Acting wise this is pretty good but I couldn’t really feel the chemistry between FL (good sister) and ML (Hong Ji) - at least not until the last scene. The chemistry between 2FL (evil sister) and 2ML (King Ning) was way better.
Well, if you like fantasy movies and have an hour or so to waste, this is not a bad watch.

Nice movie with a Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibe

This is a nice movie. Even if there isn’t much new in the storyline - except for the snake - it's actually entertaining.
Character wise I love that FL and ML are equally strong and skilled in martial arts. They complement each other even if they start off as enemies. Their love story is sweet but kind of underdeveloped.
Acting wise this is ok. Not great but not bad either. The leads are a bit stiff. Not that iit ruins the movie though.
So, if you like a nice romantic martial arts movie, this is actually worth watching.

Cliché mini-show that doesn’t require a brain

This is an ok show. There is nothing new or special about it - just the usual clichés. Best thing about it is the ending.
I really don’t get these stories where FL acts all tough and sure of her love, then gets scared of a love rival and decides to use 2ML/a childhood friend to try and put a distance between her and ML. It’s childish and immature.
Acting wise this is a little better than mediocre and the chemistry between the leads is only so so.
Well, if you want something that doesn’t require a brain, this is an ok watch.
