This is not a Romance
It's definitely not a BL and not really a highschool drama even though most of the action takes place inside a highschool. It is coming of age drama that conveys the teenage angst and thoughtless cruelty born from it perfectly and as such has a realistic feel.
In the end I thoroughly enjoyed it as an assessment of the teenage experience .

I enjoyed the slice of life feel of the episodes and the music conveying its fluffy character.
Because the female lead is the main point of view character and her thoughts are revealed in the narration the story seems a bit imbalaced towards her while the male lead's motivations remain a bit more obscure.
Overall it gives off a feel good vibe that is cemented by the attractiveness of the leads. By giving a glimpse into their married life the drama makes one wish them happiness but it does not make one so overinvested that one leaves unsatisfied.

Good Remake if a bit too faithful in the more controversial aspects
The series captures the feeling of the early seasons of the original perfectly and similarly showcases thereciprocation of personal relationships and business in the entertainment industry.
The relationship dynamics and the setting stay close to the original and while that makes the drama and it's characters feel more dynamic and spontaneous (possibly American) than other Korean dramas set in the industry, it also replicates the views and attitude towards masculinity and woman that permeated the original.
Seo Kang Joon, Jo Jin Woong an Park Jung Min make the characters their own and emphasise through their acting the importance of strong relationships in life.
Overall I would say it is must watch for people who enjoy K-Dramas and enjoyed the original and worth checking out for those intrigued by the summary or the actors.

A beautiful winter story
This story combines and contrasts the subdueness and mutedness of winter with the heat of human life and interaction. It feels realistic in its portrayal of the progression of the main romance. Both actors (especially Seo Kang Joon) and the characterisation of their roles really make you believe that they are living their life and view it through the lense of their own experiences.
But the seemingly passive way this story is told is also it's greatest weakness because it makes an unnamed police officer only appearing in one sequence the only one addressing the domestic abuse storyline from a different perspective.
