Finally a drama where a group of women support each other rather than the usual toxic dynamics with them plotting against each other...

Can someone please explain why "the sound of wind and cranes" is considered an insult?

Also the osts dont include the "hurry, hurry" rap or music in ep1 during Song Yimeng's multiple marriage and death reincarnations and the Song Yimeng song...where to find those?

True..she never apologized and in fact threatened Nan Heng that she'll reveal his identity. Even if the person behind the mask was Shangguan He it would still be SA. That wasnt handled well..
They should start adding disclaimers with such scenes.

Yes..it got annoying at that time,like girl look at other options too...forge the weapon, or get out of the city and enjoy the riches, or find a way to get out of the plot, there is life beyond the script also...or at least bond with her family...
This is what is different from lead of Gaurdians of Dafeng, he used his brain to do what he wanted even if he was in another world

Its unfortunate thats how her character is written with not much growth in that aspect..
I also felt it is a subtle dig at dramas rule of ML and FL have to end up together.

That is the how the character of FL is written...She is a slacker and as shown in episode 1 all she wants is to enjoy the money and luxury
(Right in episode 1 it is shown how she wants to stay a little longer and enjoy without having to work)

[P.S. No judgement on the character, i am just mentioning how the character is written ]

The biggest SPOILER with every drama is ML and FL will end up together.
There is already a bias when we start watching. I wonder if we would see things differently if they didn't have to be together 🤔

I liked her suggestion that "Nan Feng could've gone to the script world before SYM too , and they can make a season 2" ...if that has happened that could mean he was the reason whole Li Shilui character got created in the script world which wasnt there in the script.

One of the best parts of the drama was how everyone feared Nan Heng and her father was ready to fight the emperor to get the decree cancelled so much that he locked Song Yimeng in the house to stop her from accepting the decree (which she did only because of script) ...even her sister wanted her to choose by herself and not settle...only Li Shilui's subordinates called her Mrs.Li and they didnt know he was Nan Heng...
very rare to see in such dramas where the family is so supportive and ready to go against even the emperor.

Very weirdly intelligent story where they made fun of many iconic cliché scenes yet the whole plot formed around those scenes..

Seriously..just a month before my exams all the good dramas decide to drop 😭😡

Can someone pls tell the airing schedule if they know..then i can decide to watch it now or binge wtch after exams

From my POV it awesome...very light hearted yet conveys all the emotions beautifully..some episodes may feel slow paced, can watch at 1.5x..but dont miss this..totally worth every moment

This as such a joyous watch..
I thought it will be a serious drama but ended up such a comedy and a mixed bag of everything..
There was comedy, action , hate, resentment, love, betrayal, angst....everything in a watchable way which doesnt push one into a depressive mood...the other leads also had enough screen time without overpowering the leads..
The costumes very superb..production quality is very good..
Some of the bgm & characters reminded my of Journey to Love..and also redemption for Qui Liang from Prisoner of Beauty..and of course Liu Yu Ning having his character's death scenes
A very balanced and a magical watch..
