I don't know how far you've seen till now..
it is revealed in later episodes she plotted that with the old man to convince Danxin to go against her..
and yes whether child is a sinner or not is debatable..but for the child which is YPA in this story she feels guilty and responsible for the harm she did an she feels she commiitted sins by unknowingly luring women there (my perspective..I honour your POV as well)

they were children of criminals/orphans with nowhere to go..the people as such were not involved in any criminal activity and were suffering for what their prev generations did

suspense and plot twists are very intriguing..plot wise it is awesome..each episode has been crafted with intention..very intelligent..
no romance..leads do share some warm moments, they have superb chemistry..but no romance

this drama deserves much higher rating..each episode was well thought out and was satisfying..no fillers in between either..and ending really brought everything together.
have 60k+ viewers really watched this? or are they random profiles with suspicious votes?

true..Hai Yiping was the most cunning of all and once he was gone the Wu guy really did not have anyone he could depend on to continue down his corrupt/greedy path..
Wu Xian was more emotional and wanted to prove herself to be better than YPA..hers wasn't logical/intelligent enough

very intelligently written plot. It wasn't all about catching the bad guys, it was also about ensuring Justice in a way without harming a lot of innocents..Also I liked that no character was completely good or bad..everyone was shades of grey and they ended up on paths of no return or found ways to redeem themselves..the interwoven complex web of deception, lies and corruption was also very aptly captured in the narration.
finally a drama which respects the brain cells.

IMO this drama deserves much more than 8

the final show-down has begun..the drama has been epic till now plot-wise with no filler episodes/boring irrelevant cliche moments..very excited for the ending..hope the ending does justice to the entire drama so far

there is chemistry, understanding and "friendship" between the leads..there are probably only 3-4 scenes where they are tender towards each other in their actions..but no typical c-drama romance.

yes..the 1st 4 episodes are triggering as well as misleading..different layers of FL character starts getting revealed ep 5-6 onwards..the script-writing could've been better
(I've not read the novel..saying this from perspective of a pure drama viewer)

so from the trailers YSC marries Wu's sister and there is a 1yr time gap?

what is the deal with Wu's mother? why is she secluded and why does the daughter does not want to meet her usually? has this been mentioned anytime?
also why did YSC hide the comb and how did he already know that the person was in Ya'un county?

she does seem suspicious too..she was dating the Gu guy who was close to Du Liang..she is close to emperess as well..

again..I am not attacking people..
also speaking of Guru of all life..you don't know me either..I have expertise in Psychology, in Complex trauma, its treatment..if you need any info on it I can provide it..
also what appears to be "cruising through life" for others is not a praise..having worked with them..honestlythe bravery they show even in waking up and doing normal routine is known only to them and ppl they open up to..
