it is just preview..wait till the actual episode is aired and the entire plot is revealed

My POV differs from yours..
I felt the performance was excellent and every actor played their roles brilliantly..I enjoyed all aspects of the drama

she is her charming bubbly self in all the BTS.. the tired performance in first few episodes I interpreted it as due to lack of food to all slaves at pearl farm where they struggle to survive..

i think it was because of loss of cheek fat arround the nose which brings more prominense to the nose, also fat loss makes the face look slightly different and less prettier (unfortunately)..chubby face has a natural innocent beauty..

That's one thing good about this drama..their understanding of each other and trust in one another

so far it has been good, Light-hearted, no unnecessary aggravated drama..each character have their own personality and missions..I do find something missing but it is an 8.5 drama for me so far

She and Her Perfect Husband...not really an enemies-to-lover stories...its about two different personalities eventually appreciating each others strengths and finding love...Its mature story-telling, may not be everyone's cup of tea

Actually Yan was poisoned and was gradually becoming weak and though he was cooking he wasn't idle..he had arranged for the merchant from Kang state and was buying beryl stones secretly..his plans had always been excecuted in the dark and with help of Kang Jun and later JZR's help throughout the story..he being a businessman and not having powers of officials and having to operate this way is understandable...
Also for me Danwu was someone who had gone through trauma in Pearl farm and later struggled her way up in Trading Convoy and she thought she was betrayed by her love and also lost Shrimp and people she had come to trust and see as family...her re-invention is understandable...
And yes the money for starting her business like the shell jewelery she makes with the jade lady...tht is unexplained/I may have missed the detail

If you are looking for a love story/regular C-drama love story you'll be disappointed..
This is a realistic story of empowerment where every character has their individual personalities and growth arc..it has a Hollywood style narration with censorship of China drama , sticking to realism throughout...the storytelling and plot wont disappoint you

Danwu was always interested in being a merchant...she stayed with trading convoy to learn about business (as she tells this in a conversation with Shrimp) as YZJ was a very successful one..she never let go of her life/dream...it was her story all the way..she grew up as a slave in Pearl farm and knew accounting from her mother...it would be unrealistic if she became a successful business person without any mentorship or apprenticeship
