The whole salt reform and salt administration plot is confusing me ๐ I donโt understand a thing
So far what I understood is salt merchants exchange grains for salt and they were allowed to have permits because of it...but because of corruption salt doesn't really reach the border areas and merchants of south are not able to thrive or conduct business or something...as entire system is corrupt I guess the reform was to shift from barter to silver or money payment....this is what I understood...it wasnt that clear to me either, I hoped this would be cleared in furthur episodes
The scene where they showed FTY stepping on ZL to get into carriage....the clear difference where ZL then was youthful and somewhat more alive, and now his eyes hold shadows of responsibilities/pain of his journey...and FTY also carried herself with maturity, much different from her previous ways...the growth, the burden...very well acted..and director did a great job๐ ๐
The scene where FTY is full of joy because she assumed ZL's credit got approved and they can return to capital and ZL in emotional turmoil at having sacrificed his conscience for his brothers and FTY...was so raw and relatable...very well acted
Nothing comes easy...I am glad they didn't show Commander Wang helping ZL just because he is the ML...him stating his reasons for wanting to help him really elevated the storytelling.
Episode 17 was epic ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ Can see the exact moment Zhao Ling transformed , and man Cammander Wang ๐ฅ๐ฅ
And what twist...kill the salt smugglers..he gets his heads for merit and Li cannot threaten Commander Wang using salt from salt smugglers threat also now
Ep. 15: The most satisfying kick of the year was the one given by ML to SML (I'm calling him Mr. Shameless from…
Also ML's revenge on Zuo guy was also impressive.. True about the GM's death...though I understand her choices considering the timeline...she should have stayed alive to see the FTY and ZL achieve success
YJX is such a narcissistic ass and a fool. On what basis did he assume a lady who betrayed her friend to marry him is not interested in materialistic possessions? What special quality did he have that could impress someone to marry him in the 1st place...it was obvious everyone was interested in Yu family and not him...and now he realised true colours of Fan Fake he wants to get back into good books with his mother and also get back FTY to stroke his own ego...the character is really worse than a beast ๐คฎ๐คฎ
What I like about the story is that Zhao Ling is refreshingly ordinary. An actual commoner, not a general, nobleman…
FTY's confidence comes for being trained by her Grandmother...she has been trained about the scheming ways of ladies and how to navigate situations using her wits..so far whatever has been shown is coherent and understandable for character in drama...
Actually if Yake stops competing with FTY now she has the guy's co-operation she can have a peaceful life...her…
True...I saw the 1st few episodes more as setting the premise..though she backstabbed FTY in the whole adultery accusations , though morally wrong, I could see she had her intentions of wanting her potential to shine, also the FL's fall from grace as pretty much everything was handed to her by her family, not undeserved or wrong, more like nepotism and favouritism...it is now that each have independent lives to live, their choices will decide their trajectory
Actually if Yake stops competing with FTY now she has the guy's co-operation she can have a peaceful life...her…
I understand where she is coming from...she was always made to feel inferior...thats why i said "now she has the guy's cooperation" she needs to stop competing with FTY..I haven't read the novel and I am only basing my opinion from what drama has shown till now
Can see the exact moment Zhao Ling transformed , and man Cammander Wang ๐ฅ๐ฅ
True about the GM's death...though I understand her choices considering the timeline...she should have stayed alive to see the FTY and ZL achieve success
