I’m confused why he keeps taking on so many new projects when his previous ones are still not finished or have barely even started 🤔like all the best for the My Chef in Crime team but I honestly think Jeff should have focused on Happy Ending first if he truly plans for it to happen. Jeff is so busy with his music activities so I doubt he can do more than 1 drama per year and Chef seems to be what he has in store for next year since it has a filming date locked in (February). When they announced he will be on Running Man Thailand too I just let out a big sigh.Happy Ending I cannot see airing until 2027-2028 unless Jeff puts all of his other activities on hold. I’m not sure how interested I’ll be anymore at that point though since my series fatigue is already quite high from too much waiting and disappointments.

It is very unfair isn’t it? Straight projects are 10 times more likely to get proper funding and decent scripts than queer shows. The industry is still way too homophobic to truly invest in non-het projects😔not gonna lie, I’m always a bit bitter when I see a high-quality het project from Thailand because it reminds me that they can do things well, it’s just that they choose not to with queer shows. I’ve seen the BL pilots for 2026 and honestly I don’t think I’m gonna watch anything next year.

I still can’t believe Davika and her team made something like this and it took them less than a year. Other companies known for high production value like Be On Cloud take forever with their 8 ep shows lol Like what is their excuse

I get that some people love rpf. It is a bit disheartening though when you go to Khemjira ao3 page just to discover that only 59 fics out of the existing 147 are about the actual show while the rest is rpf. I wish the rpf would not at least come under Khemjira and have its own page. But oh well, guess BL fandoms are just not for me (except Kinnporsche back in the day cause cause the main focus was on characters)

Do you guys think the actual show will have a more mature aesthetic or if they will stick with the Disney channel vibe?

Yeah, you never miss her characters when the show is over. With 4 minutes too most people miss JessBible on screen as opposed to being attached to ThymeGreat.I enjoy the quality of BOC shows a lot but I miss the KP era when we had both quality and iconic characters.

I love grey characters and even dark characters too so that is not my issue with her. Personally I just think characters are not her strong point.

I think some people misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was criticizing how BL fandoms are more preoccupied with actor ships instead of character ships. I think this trend is a bit messed up overall.

Why is there more KengNamping fic on ao3 than PeemKhem😒as much as I love BL/GL this is why I hate most fandoms.

My main problem with BL that involves inspectors etc. is that the actors look college age max. They should hire older or at least older looking actors for roles like this.

I feel like this is the only BL drama out there (if you don’t count censored danmei) where people are more preoccupied with the character ships than the actor ships. We need more.

If they are still going to do this I think they should hire another screenwriter alongside Sammon. Sammon is good at mystery, but she is not that good at writing compelling and likeable characters. In general, I feel like BOC biggest weakness post-KP are the characters, even though production is of course always excellent.

Yeah the Chef drama’s script is probably ready. I wish Jeff too had completed the HE script before releasing the pilot.

I don’t think Jeff would drop the project willingly, but there could be issues outside of his control. Rather than outright dropping, I’m more worried about huge delays. I don’t trust casual verbal statements from Jeff much, since he said before that he wants the show to release end of this year or early next year, and that is just not possible (unless something has been done in secret, which I think is unlikely). So yeah, I think he is overly optimistic whenever he talks about HE release period.

I’m just starting to get really sceptical about this project since the new project immediately got a filming schedule even before the release of the pilot, whereas HE still does not have one announced despite the fact that the pilot aired so long ago. Also, if they start filming the chef drama (8 eps) in February and can only make it to Q4 for release then there i no way HE could make it before that if they start filming later .
