Title Payback
Nowadays there are too many bl series but half of them are bad but Here are the list of currently airing Bl series…
The good thing is that the worst ones are eventually gonna stop being made because viewers have limited time and will have to become more selective. In like 2019 there was still so little quantity that many people watched basically everything. You have to stand out more and more with your show if you don’t want people to stand it up in favor of something else.

what why?
Probably because the project is not happening anymore, or at least not with the original cast. I mean it’s been pretty obvious for a while now as Mike has not mentioned the project for like a year now.

In Q2, yes you got the point, its filmed already.
I’m really curious what Jeff will do on the second anniversary of the pilot which is coming soon. Last year he posted a script snippet, so what he does (or doesn’t do) this year is very telling. If the project cannot be salvaged in its original form, it would be a good occasion to call it quits and give fans closure. Or announce a pivot to novel or something as you suggested. Because if Jeff just keeps talking about Happy Ending with no progress for much longer it will become a credibility problem for SOS no matter how beloved Jeff is.

When a project gets abandoned it rarely happens because the creator wants to abandon it. The usual cause is inability to secure funding fully or overestimating one’s own capacity to execute the project (common pitfall for first-time producers) This can result in heavy financial losses, not to mention wasted time and effort, but sometimes it just can’t be helped. If the barriers preventing Happy Ending from entering production are significant, it will not happen no matter how hard Jeff or anyone else would like it to :(

Why do so many people in BL fandom nowadays use the word twink like it´s a slur/insult....Almost like a replacement for faggot. I see it all the time on MDL and elsewhere too. Do you guys know the actual definition of twink? Because the word gets thrown around about characters that in no way are twinks.I´ve seen people call Jay´s actor a twink too and not in a kind way lol. If you don´t like the portrayal of a charcter or think they are weak do not use "twink" to convey that. Also many people tend to forget that there are different ways to be strong. Strength is not only about physique and fighting ability but can be about intellect, mental fortitude or emotional intelligence.

Even in those relatively rare cases when projects are actually filmed in secret under NDAs they do not just drop on a random Tuesday without any promotion. Big projects start promotions months ahead of release. Jeff is most likely protecting his image and trying to maintain fan goodwill. Projects in Thailand are rarely cancelled publicly unless rights run out because cancellation can hurt reputation. This is why we have so many Thai projects that were never officially cancelled but that never happened either.

Q2 means April-May-June so it is definetly impossible lol. I´m not surprised fans are being confused though as Jeff has not exactly been transparent in his messaging around this project. He reported Q2 in multiple international sources, even in Variety level coverage. For quite a while now fans have been forced to choose whether they believe what Jeff says or what he does because those do not align. I only believe actual concrete movement at this point.

There is a lot of interesting experimentation going on with BL this year: this one, Payback, Love Destiny. Regardless of whether I end up liking them, BL is definetly gradually trying to scale up more.

Title KinnPorsche
It's good we didn't get kinnporche season 2 cause trust me yall will hate the characters yall previously once…
If there had been a season 2 I don’t think they would have stuck to the book too much. They already changed a lot for s1 and gave the charcters a lot of depth which is an essential factor that made the series so popular.

Title KinnPorsche
I wonder if any BL will ever be able to dethrone Kinnporsche in the future in terms of scale and iconicness of characters🤔 All three character pairings function as distinctive psychological case studies, which makes the series just too compelling compared to other existing ones. After all, most BLs rely on archetype-based writing instead of character-driven psychology writing.

Title Happy Ending
This not a bl. Y’all need to move on from JeffCode !!! Besides they have always had a big bro/little bro dynamic…
Regardless of whether Happy Ending was supposed to have BL elements or not, I have a hard time seeing it happening at all anymore. The optimal market timing and original hype are gone, so the cost of making this would outweigh the benefit for SOS at this point. Especially considering that Jeff would have to pause his ever-growing career and say no to elite opportunities. A risky creative venture might have been strategically attractive in 2024, but now there is just too much to lose. In hindsight, Happy Ending in general kinda strikes you as an overly ambitious project for a creator who has no experience in this line of work and has a very busy schedule. You cannot really make series as a side hustle. And Jeff was trying to be everything—scriptwriter, producer, composer,l
ead actor—all of which are full-time jobs even on their own at this level. I hope he gets more transparent with his communication regarding the actual status of Happy Ending and does not opt to keep it publicly alive for branding or reputational purposes. Ngl, the reason I’m still checking on this project occasionally is because I’m curious what Jeff will do (just keep talking about the project as if it is imminent like he has done so far? gradually stop talking about it and quietly shelve it? actually issue an official statement declaring the project as discontinued?)

Damn that looks good. As good as any poster for top lakorns. Nice to see BLs getting this level of effort.

but it's not about the jesbible, the script was just weak and that's why they rejected italso if the actors are…
No I’m not saying it’s about Jesbible. I’m saying that branded pairs eventually limit storytelling, no matter how talented the actors. A system similar to lakorns would be better and also less crazy fan attachment that way. In addition, if BL wants to go more mainstream and be taken more seriously, they need to stop ”othering” it by creating these different rules.

Title 8Hours
I’m going to say something controversial, but since it’s been on my mind a lot I want to yap about it. I think Be On Cloud should abandon the established pair system altogether, because I feel like it’s limiting their BL projects a lot. With their level of storytelling ambition it is just not a good fit. Instead of trying to write a series for JesBible or write as series for MileApo, they should write a self-contained script and then cast based on suitability for that story and those characters. Not only would it give them so much more narrative and characterization freedom, it would also make BL more attractive for talented actors from mainstream media who avoid BL primarily because of the baggage that comes from the actor ship system. All in all, I feel like the next essential step for BL to evolve is for a company to let go of branded pairs, at least for some projects, and currently Be on Cloud is the best candidate for that, since they haven’t taken things as far as GMMTV or Domundi. I’m aware the commercial incentive to rely on branded pairs is big, but in the long run it will prevent BL from evolving for the better.

And btw, if it is not clear, I’m not saying this as someone who hates the past collaborations of these actors, quite the opposite.
