Guys who like RamilPaytai but are tired of the pearl-clutching and moralizing here, I would recommend to go to tumblr. In general, people are more chill over there when it comes to darker themes ,morally grey characters , and fictional power dynamics. Sometimes all you want is toxically codependent trauma-bonded blorbos occasionally teetering on the line between romance and dubconđRamil and Paytaiâs relationship is far more complex than some people are giving them credit for and dynamics like theirs can be so fun to explore in fiction.
Iâll never understand people on different platforms who seem to want all characters to act like theyâve undergone 3 years of intense therapy. I know RamilPaytai is not for everyone, but it would be very unrealistic to expect these two characters who are not exactly well-adjusted to play by the healthy relationship playbook. They are not even that toxic, the writers could have gone a lot further in my opinion and I would have welcomed it haha
I know that many people have come to associate BL with fluff and cutesy scenes and liking that is fine and all, but itâs kind of disheartening to see people so pressed whenever a show goes even a little bit in a darker direction. And donât even get me started on those who think CharanKhanin is toxic because Khanin keeps ordering him around lol
Episode 5 felt like the calm before the storm. Less drama, more setupâbut still plenty of soft chaos to go around.Khanin?…
I love your analysis of RamilPaytai so much! Their dynamic is just the right amount of fucked up, I feel like it was written personally for my dark queer romance loving assđ
genuine question here, is this actually good, or is it mostly for the fans of the ship (no shade if it is!)? I…
I would describe myself as a very picky BL watcher (so far I love/like only Kinnporsche,Utsukushii Kare, Semantic Error and Not me)Iâm not a fan of any actor ships nor am I that into Charan x Khanin but Iâm still enjoying this show (I would give this around an 8 if I were to rate right now, but I prefer not to rate too soon)Obviously itâs not perfect but it might be the first BL I watch until the end since 2022. There is room for much fun theorizing, which cannot be done with GMMTV BLs (there is not enough substance there for that XD, they are too straightforward and simple ) Many people on this site tend to either straight on hate on the show or praise it as the next coming of Jesus, which is not very helpful lol. So I would still just recommend to watch and form your own opinion (maybe you could wait until around half the episodes are out?)
My current theory is that Khanin is not Khanin at all. Maybe gramps stole him from someone else to secure an heir when the actual Khanin died as a baby
Another option is that Khaninâs mother was originally the consort of Prince Wasin and they had Khanin together, but then gramps coerced Khaninâs mum to marry Prince Tharin and Khanin was turned into an Assavadevathin. And thus Prince Wasin is plotting for revenge. Who knows, maybe even Charan has been ripped from his rightful family (or he could be an illegitimate Assavadevathin)
Iâm really enjoying this so far. I do wish they would tone down on some of the cringe with Charan and Khanin though, the long slow motion scenes made me laugh (itâs giving major fan service vibes which is kind of a turn offâŠ)Otherwise, I really loved this episode, especially how we got to see more of the Phuchongphisuts.
I wonder what Ramilâs objective was for taking Khanin to the cave. He might just be plotting against him because of the competition, but why do I feel like it could have also been a discreet call for help?đ
On a sidenote, this is so funnyđ
