Herma (2021) Episode 4

Episode 4 confirmed that Luiz died. He was stabbed in a bar. This episode had numerous weaknesses. After four episodes, the boys' love (BL) focus of this series hasn't really materialized yet. Maybe this is about Algiro and Monsour or Algiro and Marion. I don't know. It's a pity, Algiro and Luiz seemed to be a better pair. Aizen/Renzo was also the most attractive among the cast members. Anyway, Luiz was relegated to the prolonged flashbacks on this episode. His character background was revealed during the tedious scene at the cemetery. Screenplay for that scene had circuitous lines. Acting felt awkward at times. Production technicals were bad. I can barely hear some of the dialogues and there were poor camera shots. Overall, this was a very weak episode.

Herma (2021) Episode 3

Out of nowhere, someone died on Episode 3. Three episodes in and it isn't clear yet where this series is going. But at least, screenplay was more natural compared to previous episodes. Acting was passable on this episode. Audio-visuals were still weak. I hope next episode's better.

HeartBreak Mountain (2021) Episode 5

Episode 5 was a very short episode. On this episode, the necklace was lost and Engkantito's back. No evident improvements on all fronts. One last episode!

Till Death Do Us Part (2021) Episode 6: Finale

True to form, Episode 6: Finale used unimaginative inner monologues with not much acting involved. There was an 18-year time jump and Arthur's son was all grown up on this episode. The young lad received a scholarship abroad and he'll be able to bring with him his adopted father Boyet, fulfilling the latter's dream of flying on an airplane. The end. No wait, there's a "Till Death Do Us Part Season 2" entitled "I Hate You But I Lied" that will possibly revolve around an incestuous relationship! Bad idea. I hope the production company (Astrum TV) take a breather first. It needs to improve its craft in terms of plot/storyline, performance, and production before it ventures into a new series.

Till Death Do Us Part (2021) Episode 5

After Arthur's death, Joyce also passed away after giving birth to their son. While visiting Arthur's tomb, through inner monologues, Boyet shared that he's now taking care of Arthur and Joyce's child. The uncreative inner monologues of Episode 5 also revealed that Boyet's bisexual and Arthur's father was queer. Screenplay had long and tedious lines that tried, but failed, to make up for the lack of acting on this episode. Production technicals were still weak. Finale next!

Daddy Love (2021) Episode 6

Episode 6 was a really nice way to end this series. Yes, Kiko overacted when he found out he's human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive and Mark didn't really know how to react about the situation at first but both their responses were understandable. I liked that after they got sensible advice from Jenny and Fr. Lucas, this episode was able to show that people living with HIV can have successful and blessed lives with their loved ones. I'm a sucker for happy endings so I thoroughly enjoyed this finale. Screenplay was good. Acting was just about right. And production technicals were fine. Overall, this was a satisfying conclusion for this series.

Between Us (2021) Episode 11

On Episode 11, the main characters reckoned with the aftermath of Khel and Mack's confessions from the previous episodes. While there were some nice moments between the couples, this episode was ruined by the continuous depiction of toxic women as exemplified by Aileen. Script was at least better than the previous episode. Acting was off on some scenes. Audio-visuals remained weak. Four episodes left!

Between Us (2021) Episode 10

On Episode 10, Khel confessed his feelings to Sai while Mack confessed his feelings to Art. While there were relationship developments, this episode was still bogged down by its slow pace and unnecessary scenes. Why was there a need to pit women against each other? It's very regressive. Screenplay was still boring. Acting was underwhelming. And production technicals didn't improve. I just wish the remaining episodes are better.

PRE*SO (2021) Episode 6: Captive Relay

This series is definitely intriguing because of its unpredictability. While watching Episode 6: Captive Relay I found myself asking: Which were just pigments of So's imagination? Could So be schizophreniac? Towards the end, I felt uncomfortable with this episode's unexpected twist which saw the return of the rapist Top Dad. Anyway, I like series that makes me think and feel. I just hope that even with all the twists and turns, this series doesn't lose track of its main plot/storyline. Screenplay was mostly conversational on this episode. Acting was largely fine. Audio-visuals was generally alright. I'm curious what's in store for the next episode!

My Chinito Prince (2021) Episode 1: Let the Love Begin

While technically there’s little difference from "Stranger's Kiss," "My Chinito Prince" at least retained the heart that its parent series had. On Episode 1: Let the Love Begin, both Niko and Prince were endearing. Yes, Niko highlighted the need for character development (why does he require saving all the time?). But because he's nice, I can't help but root for him. Hopefully this series settles most (if not all) of the loose ends from "Stranger's Kiss." The screenplay for this episode was passable. Acting was uneven though. While there were scenes wherein the actors performed naturally, there were also scenes wherein they were a bit stiff. Audio-visuals had minor improvements when compared to "Stranger's Kiss." Aside from "Stranger's Kiss" soundtrack "Magkasama" (Together) by John Axl Nolasco featuring Justin Cabiso, this episode also featured "Patawarin" (Forgive) by Ian Illustrisimo featuring Raiden Ramiscal. All in all, I'm just glad there's an opportunity to settle the loose ends from "Stranger's Kiss."

Jojowain o Totropahin (2021) Episode 2: Tadhana (Destiny/Fate)

Episode 2: Tadhana (Destiny/Fate) was a bit of a mess. It's not really clear where this series is going. Anyway, on this episode, Robby's mother and her lover were shot and possibly killed by his father. Script had repetitive lines. Acting was over the top for the most part. Production technicals were weak. With the appearance of Neil and Rash on the next episode, I just hope this series gets better.

Wheel of Love: Weekend to Remember (2021) Episode 7: Hello, Love, Good Bai!

Save the best pair for last? Episode 7: Hello, Love, Good Bai! was definitely better than previous episodes. This episode seemed to cap Mateo and Janice's subplot/secondary storyline. It also provided family background for the Asuncion siblings including homophobic Miguel, who has a military father. And the best aspect of this episode -- it focused on Daniel and Markie! They really look good together. It's a shame camera trick was used for their kiss which ruined the scene under the street light. Anyway, screenplay was realistic and relatable enough. Acting was on point. Enzo and Daryll, both endearing, were really good on this episode. Audio-visuals were mostly fine. All in all, so far, this is my favorite episode of this series. I just hope the remaining episodes, or at least majority of them, concentrate on developing Markie and Daniel's relationship.

Between Us (2021) Episode 9

Although Episode 9 didn't really move the plot/storyline forward, it did introduce a new character in Spencer. Other than that, no interesting event happened on this episode. Script was dull. Acting was dry. Audio-visuals were still weak. But if it's any consolation, there are just a few episodes left!

Inn Love (2021) Episode 1

Episode 1 was a decent pilot episode. Some of the characters were introduced on this episode. After an unpleasant first meeting, Gino and Alex met again at Tanggap Kita [I Accept You] (TK) resort. While screenplay had a few corny lines, it was alright for the most part. Some dialogues were also funny. In terms of acting, several supporting cast members need improvement. They were off at times. Thankfully, VJ and Migo can really act. They portrayed their roles well. VJ's charming while Migo's sexy. Audio-visuals were mostly fine. Nothing fancy, sound was clear and camera shots were clean. The soundtrack "Inn Love na Ako Sayo" (I'm Already Inn Love With You) by Neil Lariosa was ok. All in all, this was a good premiere episode.

Between Us (2021) Episode 8

Even with Khel and Sai's shirtless scenes, Episode 8 was still a drag. There's even an insinuation that they had sex and I hate drunk sex on boys' love (BL) series. Screenplay was uninspired. Acting was lackluster. Watching Josh was the only reason I got through this episode. Production technicals were still substandard. I hope this series gets better on the next episodes.
