Diving Into Love (2021) Episode 7: The Truth

Episode 7: The Truth was such a drag. Even with Andrei and Sam opening up about their feelings toward each other, the plot/storyline didn't really go anywhere. This episode was filled with overdramatic scenes with circuitous screenplay. While mostly ok, acting was crippled by the bad script. Audio-visuals were fine with minor editing issues. Overall, this was a weak episode.

My Toxic Lover (2021) Episode 7

Substantially, there were still numerous weaknesses on Episode 7. In terms of plot/storyline, not all loose ends were resolved. Most of the characters were quite underdeveloped. Bryce and Ethon's relationship, which ended with a breakup, was rushed. The comic relief of this episode wasn't funny at all. Screenplay had overdramatic lines, boring monologues, and repetitive dialogues. Acting was bad. The long confrontation scene with Bryce, Ethon, and Dane was horrendous. But technically, in terms of production design and cinematography, this episode was good. The scenic shots were impressive. Even the background music was fine. Kudos also for the twist at the end. Hopefully, Ethon and Martin will have better chemistry than Bryce and Ethon. Was Episode 7 the finale for "My Toxic Lover"? Is "Worth the Wait" its sequel or will it still be part of "My Toxic Lover"? I'm really confused. Anyway, if this was the last episode of "My Toxic Lover," then it was definitely better than previous episodes, at least technically speaking.

My Toxic Lover (2021) Episode 6

Episode 6 was marred with illogical and unnecessary scenes. This episode lacked proper build-up and flow for most scenes. Martin harassing Bryce and Bryce kissing Ethon exemplified this weakness. There were also boring long scenes that just paraded the characters in nice outfits that only served as a reminder that most characters on this series lacked depth. Script had cringy lines. Acting seemed to have worsen on this episode. Shouting was again and again mistaken for acting. Production technicals were ok though. The set designs and camera shots were generally good. Unfortunately, these production technicals weren't enough to save this episode. I'm hoping the next episode's better.

My Toxic Lover (2021) Episode 5

At least the pace was better and there was relationship development for Bryce and Ethon on Episode 5. But none of the characters were endearing enough. Ethon's a power tripper, Bryce's a weakling, and Martin's a schemer. Even with all the shirtless scenes, Bryce's friends were still annoying on this episode. And while the repetitive dialogues and voice over monologues were irritating, there were cute double-meaning banters between Bryce and Ethon that made me smile. Acting still needs improvements. There were abrupt mood swings that weren't really necessary for some of the scenes. Audio-visuals were uneven. Sound quality inside the car was bad. Lighting quality wasn't consistent. All in all, this episode was quality-wise similar to the previous episode.

Wheel of Love: Weekend to Remember (2021) Episode 6: Choice Over Flowers

True feelings were finally out in the open on Episode 6: Choice Over Flowers. While Mateo admitted to Moises that he loves Janice, his brother Miguel confessed to Jane. But the best part of this episode was actually the appearance of Daniel, lol. Daniel and Markie look good together. Script was conversational on this episode. Acting was good. Production technicals were solid. I hope to see more of Daniel and Markie on the next episodes!

Wheel of Love: Weekend to Remember (2021) Episode 5: Better Date Than Never

Like the previous episode, Episode 5: Better Date Than Never focused on Miguel and Mateo. The love triangles of Miguel-Jane-Gabby and Mateo-Janice-Moises were depicted. Maybe because these are heterosexual sub-plots/secondary storylines, that's why I didn't quite enjoy them that much, lol. Nevertheless, screenplay was still solid. Acting had misses but was still ok. Audio-visuals were good. For the next episode, I would like to finally see the pairing of Daniel and Markie.

Wheel of Love: Weekend to Remember (2021) Episode 4: Check the Label

Episode 4: Check the Label focused on Miguel and Mateo and their love interests. While it was a solid episode, I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous episodes. Script was alright. Acting wasn't always on point but was generally fine. Production technicals were mostly ok. All in all, this was still a good episode.

Saan, Sana Tayo sa Himig ng Musika (2021) Episode 1: Road Trip

Episode 1: Road Trip was generally ok. Employing the best friends to lovers trope, this pilot episode presented character and relationship backgrounds for Gerald and Joshua. While conversational, screenplay was a bit dragging. Acting was good though. Both Drei and Gus can act and sing. But they still need to work on their chemistry. Audio-visuals were uneven. There were scenes that require better sound volume. Cinematography was largely satisfactory. There were nice camera shots. And the soundtracks "Saan Tayo" by Drei and Gus and "Jeepney" by Jonas Icaro were fine. Overall, this was a good premiere episode.

Serpiente (2021) Episode 3: False-Hearted

After a long break, Episode 3: False-Hearted was finally released. Betrayals all around! Although the plot/storyline progressed, this episode was too short. Screenplay was conversational. Acting was mostly good. But audio-visuals need work. I'm hoping for a new episode this coming week.

PRE*SO (2021) Episode 5: Captive 2gether

With the arrival of Pre, the plot/storyline of this series progressed on Episode 5: Captive 2gether. Pre's still a mystery to me. I'm not sure if So can really trust him. And Seph seemed to be hiding something. Anyway, this was a good episode. Script was alright. Acting was fine. I really like Vincent. He's a natural. Audio-visuals were solid. It's refreshing to watch outdoor scenes! Given the preview, I'm excited to watch the next episode!

Pisces the Series (2021) Episode 11: Libra

While I appreciate the incorporation of a song on Episode 11: Libra, it could have been done more creatively. But at least this episode had a happy ending. Screenplay was mostly ok. Acting by Kelly, Joharri, and Lennox had issues, but was passable. Production technicals were similar to previous episodes. Was this the finale episode? If this was, I was expecting a little more oomph.

Pisces the Series (2021) Episode 10: Cancer

Albeit sad, at least Episode 10: Cancer had some twists at the end. Cancer had cancer and he died! Script started dull but ended ok. In terms of acting, Bryan's delivery of lines wasn't always on point. Audio-visual issues persisted. But all in all, this episode was still better than the previous episode.

Till Death Do Us Part (2021) Episode 4: It's Hard to Say Goodbye

This series got worse on Episode 4: It's Hard to Say Goodbye. After all the hardships experienced by Arthur and Boyet just to get to the faith healer, Arthur ended up dead. Script had cringy lines. The actors overacted a lot. Audio-visuals were the same as previous episodes. Is there still hope for this series?

Till Death Do Us Part (2021) Episode 3: Love is Sacrifice

Episode 3: Love is Sacrifice was dragging with little progress in terms of plot/storyline. There were prolonged scenes on this episode. The scenes depicting Arthur and Boyet's difficult journey together was irritatingly long. Screenplay was very limited. Acting was poor. Production technicals were weak. For the next episode, I hope there's at least some progress in plot/storyline.

PRE*SO (2021) Episode 4: Captive Lover

On Episode 4: Captive Lover, Pre helped So to move on with his break-up with Pablo. They had phone sex! All in all, this was a good episode. Plot/storyline progressed on this episode. Yes, there were some cheesy lines but the screenplay was mostly alright. Acting wasn't always spot on but it was largely ok. Production technicals were generally fine. For the next episode, I hope to find out more about Pre, and even Seph. Can we expect some sort of twist on this series?
