I can’t believe that 4 Elements is almost over. We say goodbye to the beautiful air and now we visit the fire. I really hope that this amazing ensemble of actresses can someday film something else together. Perhaps a comedy since they all have impeccable comedic timing.
OMG!!! I just saw!! I’m sooooooooo excited!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Do you know if it’s going to be a season 2, or just a special episode? Either way, I’m so ready for it!!
Ling and Orm are absolutely stunning in this series. Like, even more stunning than TSOU… and I didn’t think that was possible. Even the kisses are getting better. I do miss how they devoured each other on TSOU, but I understand that LingOrm’s drama airs during the channel’s prime time hour, so a lot has to be toned down… sadly.
I agree. It’s really unnecessary to use these kinds of characters to move a plot along (unless that is something that the plot is centered on) like a true crime show or something that is already slated to be dark. But it is unnecessary in Rom-Coms. Also, why does it always have to be a man. Women are abusers too and in the LGBTQ world, many same-sex partners are abused by their previous partners, people they know, etc that are also of the same sex.
You’re right, it has become quite dark and emotional. I read somewhere that they didn’t follow the book…. Apparently the book is a complete rom com. I haven’t read it. I do wish that if a storyline has to deal with the S.A. Topic that they would deal with it w/o actually showing it because it can be really triggering for people.
Thank you for writing out this perspective. You have an excellent point. I feel like Lal is ready to give everything to wine, but wine always seems to make her second priority. I feel bad for Lal. Ep. 8 wrecked me emotionally and broke my heart for Lal. I know one things, these girls can act and they have amazing chemistry!
I’m just curious… what did you enjoy about “The Water”? My favorite Englot project personally is Petrichor.…
That makes sense. I love the 4 Elements, but sometimes I feel like they’re sooo slow with only 8 episodes… but that’s just me. Water was definitely Englot’s greatest performance to date and Charlotte did not disappoint!
When I watched ClaireBell I was convinced it was the best series of all time. Then Love Design came along and…

The only reason is be hesitant to say she didnt actually time travel, is the red string. We see it disappear on…
The red string… we did see it disappear. Haha now my brain hurts because I thought I had it figured out. This kind of reminds me of Uranus 2324. Trying to puzzle that one out hurt my brain. 🫣
yeah, with the lack of any kind of resolution regarding the time travel plus the title of the series, it was all…
Same here! I was hoping for Peem in the end somehow, but I’m glad it wasn’t p’le or Rann. I wish some of the bigger networks would take a look at how successful LBD and Heart Code are, and model after them.

That’s what made me think of it too… because P’Le leaving her at graduation the way she did, really messed her up… so it would have also been plausible to have a dream where she realizes that she needs to come back after England… instead of staying there after school. I’m rewatching it again and the number of parallels in the first episode and the last episode is just… chef’s kiss. They did an amazing job with this series.
So did Rann really time travel, or was it all just a dream she had the night that P’Le left her after she graduated? Which, in turn, gave her a different course of action. That’s how I see it. I don’t believe that Rann actually turned back time, but rather dreamed of what could/would happen if she were to stay away for too long after she finishes her initial studies in London. Just my thoughts. Because I’ve had very vivid dreams of things happening in the future, then months later, they actually happen. This is what I think really happened.
I’m deciding to rewatch this series and take on 1-2 episodes per day (instead of one every week), and I’m discovering that this is a really great drama! I’m loving it the second time around. Would love to see a director’s cut released because I know that there's a lot that was taken out… but overall, this should be well above an 8.0.
