That ending was not necessary, unless they are already green lit for a second season. I thought everything tied up nicely until the last minute.
Episode 8 was bonkers. Figured there was more to the story when the serial killer storyline finished early in the episode, but wasn’t expecting that. Great acting by everyone- was at the edge of my seat through most of it.
I couldn’t stop laughing at both of Guho’s undercover disguises. His greasy wig was hilarious, and then he was screaming around while being chased by the “men in black” I was dying. Seems like the cast is having a blast filming this.
The CEO is so disgusting, especially with the fat shaming. They really one up the villains with each episode, with each one getting worse.
Finally watching episode 11 and the brother is making my blood pressure rise. Now I just fast forward his stupid smug face whenever I see him since he’s a useless character. What a bummer because I was enjoying this show before his shenanigans.
I was expecting to cry because of health issues in this episode, but that scene with Hae and his father hit me like a ton of bricks. It was so raw and heartbreaking and absolutely rough to watch. Poor Hae- no wonder he thinks he will be unlucky and die young. I wish he told his sister the truth about his health-she already feels like nobody wants her.
That rooftop bubbles scene was so gorgeous- I don’t think I’ve seen cinematography that beautiful in a melo before. I could feel the joy between the two of them and it was so much fun to watch. Love their scenes so much.
I am in love with the dialogue and thoughtful conversations between everyone. I haven’t seen a show like this since Like Flowers in Sand (which coincidentally has the SFL in it). Lee Joo Myung is such a good actress that it’s criminal she isn’t casted in more shows.
The women pretending the other was their crush was absolutely hilarious, down to the actors wearing the same shirts they were wearing. The second leads are also so stinking cute that I want more of them. The humor on this show is so subtle, but really works since it balances out the melo.
Hae not telling the truth why he didn’t make the date made me so frustrated. I hate it when k dramas go this route, when the truth would make everything so much easier.
Will tackle the seriousness of episode 8 tonight after work. Not sure my heart can handle it.
I think the reason why I don’t ship YR with Jae Pil is because the actor looks too old to be a teenager and YR acts like a child. I prefer YR with Sang Cheol because they make more sense, plus I love the chemistry between Jae Pil and Jong Hui. Shin Ye Eun is absolutely gorgeous on this show and I can’t stop staring at her. Love her retro outfits as well.
I doubt the couples will go the way I want, but one can hope!
I think because she bribed the guards and always have her ways tbh.
Yeah, I just wish the jester or one of the guards shadowed her so they knew she was meeting with the Prince and went to the jail. Villain plot armor indeed!
Why is that dumb Consort wandering around killing people? Why is there no one following her around after all the evidence is pointing at her? My eyes rolled almost as hard as the King slowly sipping the soup and describing how good it tasted while his brother was seizing because of hypoglycemia. His mom was dumb as well wasting all that time calling the cook names instead of just feeding her son.
The pace of this episode was perfect and there was a lot that happened. Interested to see how this all ends when there is still so much that needs to be addressed.

Sad about the twist about her dead friend. No wonder the other girls always looked at Cheong Ja so oddly all the time.
Hope tomorrow’s episode is a satisfying ending. I’m sure they will throw in a kiss at the ending when we should have seen one last week.
