It's not unusual to live somewhere but want to watch stuff from other places. I'm an American, ok, I totally get it. And no, it's not actually that sad - it's kind of normal. Also, "I live here. I see it in their everyday life, they way they educate people, the way they do and think about things" sounds pretty bleak, like maybe it's time for you to move on to another place? But now this drama is just different - it's like he's on a different plane than everyone else. His acting is on a different level than many of his peers. Ok, hold up. Are you actually saying that because there are J-dramas that deal with infidelity that soon all the dramas will be about incest and polygamy?! WTF - what a ridiculous and frankly, prejudiced thing to say! There have been films and tv shows from all over the world that feature themes of cheating and infidelity - not to mention cheating on one's partner happens around the world as well. I don't cheat on my spouse and I don't want him to cheat on me, but I'm certainly not going to say something so blatantly wrong about an entire group of people because of their tv shows. As an American, I HATE when other folks think that about me. (Also, please spell Japanese correctly.)
This was an interesting film. It wasn't all that sexy, frankly, and honestly it was kind of sad - also, mean people exist everywhere and can be mean to each other all times of the day and night - but it had interesting things to say.

We have some folks on here who refuse to rate anything higher than like 7.5, even if they love it. So when you have over-inflated K-drama ratings and then people who refuse to rate higher for J-dramas (for their own reasons) then we never get ratings that are actually reflective of the drama or film. (Also like @rinmei said, there are some who see the tag Infidelity and just hate it, regardless of how good the story is. It's frustrating.)
