If you liked this drama, please rate it highly and think about writing a review for it. A 1.0 review was just left on the Kikazaru Koi MDL site by "Joy" and I'd love for some positive reviews to counteract that one. Joy criticizes Japanese hairstyles, body shames, says Japanese men are ugly, and said that Kouji was so useless that she would be better served in a pot of soup. Joy also made fun of Japanese drama titles, said that Kikazaru Koi is full of misogyny, and basically says anyone who likes the drama is stupid. And before anyone says to just ignore it, there is hating a drama and telling people about it, and then there is using language is flat-out inappropriate, way too personal (and targeted toward a whole group of people.)

So I'm not saying to respond to the 1.0 review necessarily, but it would be great for more people to review this drama positively and to help it maintain a decent score on MDL.
Sounds interesting thanks for recommending, I really enjoyed smthng in the rain, this one seems to be similar
Would someone who did not like Something in the Rain (at all) still enjoy this? I'm considering putting it in my queue to watch based on your article, but this comparison is giving me pause now.
Yes! There are some J-drama haters on this site and the rest of us need to start being louder to drown out their meanness. (I can give receipts to anyone who's curious, just fyi.)
Some of us really like dramas with multiple seasons, so.....we'd like them to not actually stop soon.
To each their own. If we get more seasons and more character development, I would be happy. I became a K-drama fan for lots of other reasons besides the ones talked about here.
omg... you made me miss my college days where I went to uni in a different city and lived in a share house with…
I hope you can find folks to eat with soon - eating alone can be ok for a while but eating good food with other people can help with so many things. I eat dinner with my family every day, (my spouse and children), but I also miss eating and drinking with kindred spirits. :-)
Not true.I watched ALL THOSE DRAMAS and they were completely different in vibe and everything else. It's not about…
The drama that I just co-wrote a recap on was none of those things, and while I admit that some J-dramas have reflected a misogyny that's present in most cultures around the world , there are an equal number of J-dramas that aren't like that at all. K-dramas have also gone through stages where they tick all of those boxes, and some still are squarely in them - except maybe perverted, simply because they're too purity-focused instead, although I can think of a number that feature a sexual harassment element that is accepted in the drama but that would be illegal in many other countries. Thai dramas, Taiwanese dramas and Chinese dramas have also at times reflected a cultural element that is male-centered, and quite a few seem to want to make the case that sexual assault is not only acceptable but par for the course, but by no means are all of their dramas like that.
